TEAM FORTRESS 2 BOTS
Experience Team Fortress 2 in an entirely new way with these custom-built NPCs, featuring all nine TF2 classes with unique AI, plus 42 MvM Robots for epic battles! Craft your perfect merc with the ♥♥♥ Customization tool, loaded with over 4,000 cosmetic items and 199 unique weapons. Use the ♥♥♥ Spawnpoint tool to stage massive TF2 showdowns, or mix things up with the Friend-or-Foe editor, letting bots ally or clash with any GMod entity! Have the Mercs fight for control points, steal the Intelligence, or battle an endless hoard of robots, you decide!

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF
Please read before posting about a bug

Team Fortress 2 must be installed and mounted!

The Team Fortress 2 Bots work best on maps with a nav-mesh!

Spawning large amounts of bots will cause lag, be aware of your hardware capabilities when using the TF2 Bots

Your game may freeze briefly when loading item icons. This is normal, and will only happen once.

WARNING: >THIS< addon and other Team Fortress 2 weapon packs will break the weapon models and cause the weapons to appear at the Bots' feet. Do not post about this issue unless you have tested them without any TF2 weapon packs installed.

Animations may appear choppy in mutiplayer, and on non-meshed maps.

Wow, I really cannot believe it's been over ten years since I released this in a caffeine-fueled coding spree. It's been a heck of a journey, and I love that you all are still able to enjoy the Team Fortress 2 Bots after all this time. So here it is, folks: The 2025 Update. I really poured my heart and soul into this update, and I do believe this is something special.

Given the tremendous amount of time and energy I've dedicated to this project, I humbly ask for your support to fuel continuous updates.

I'm sure I could figure out a way to work it in, but I don't have too much time right now. Maybe I'll look into it in the future.

Is there really no way to just generalize targeting any and all nextbot instead of having to put in every type/name?

somehow this revision of the original manages to do that but I'd like to stay on the original faithfully

Well, the reason I did it that way is because many SNPCs are different in the way they handle targeting, and I would basically have to go through the code of any SNPC you could think of, look at their code to see how they handle targeting, and then program the bots to respond accordingly. It makes much more sense just to pass that task off to whoever's using them. So... yes... it's very tedious, and (respectfully) I'm not going through every NPC on the workshop to configure the TF2 Bots. It makes much more sense to give you guys the freedom to decide how the bots respond.

hi can you make the tf2 bots target / respond to nextbot / snpcs in general?
it's a tedious long chore to manually key in every type of nextbot / snpcs I have subscribed to so it would help a lot of people if you could add that as part of the main setting instead of manual add friend-or-foe

if not, then add sounds when you headshot a random team, and add death animations for the bots, then add a random chance of different weapons and melee weapons for the bots, also taunts for bots sometimes, that's it.

Oh well what i was saying was add all that was/is needed, not some of what is needed, add everything it needs idk, i kinda dont have storage space for tf2 at the moment:( i did at one point but my secondary storage thing died sooo yeah!.
