The problem is that the update doesn't work correctly on the stable version of the game. It only works on the dev branch.
For reference, we are using:
Project injury reaction
Ace no medical
Ace3 for PiR
Anims for PiR Ace

Player model freezes instantly (only the players; AI and the enviornment don't seem to be affected). When it happens, I am unable to input any actions or movements. For me, opening and closing the inventory produces this bug 100% of the time.
In the report log, it seems to generate "Bad conversion: scalar" whenever it happens.
