UPDATE WHEN?????????????
The reason I called it spam is because, just like you're doing again today, you had copy pasted a bunch of spammy, unhelpful, and often erroneous comments across a number of mods. My encouragement to you is to not do that. It's also worth noting that, five months later, you still have not corrected your misleading comment.
When I posted, the mod wasn't behaving as expected in my game. I suspected a potential conflict—a common issue for anyone running a lot of mods. My intention was to flag that, because in the modding world, an old update date can sometimes be the cause. That's why I advised caution.
I never said "it's broken." I said "try it for yourself," because I know everyone's setup is different. Encouraging people to test a mod before committing is responsible advice, not misinformation. We were probably both trying to help, but there’s no need to label helpful caution as "spam."
And to reiterate, it's a wonderful mod, egi! My comments were about ensuring stable gameplay for everyone.
no it does not, you can enable / disable or install / uninstall it at any time.
the reason they can't clear the crosswalk is because the game assumes them to be fast.
you can't adjust it with the mod, since that would not be "realistic" anymore. I am not going to include it as a feature, sry.
you have 3 options (ordered by difficulty):
1. give them more time to cross with TM:PE timed traffic lights. I have done that for large crossings anyway, because it makes traffic flow more efficient.
2. build your own mod. the code is here https://github.com/DaEgi01/CitiesSkylines-RealisticWalkingSpeed
you have to get a little bit into programming though. its not that hard. hint: just change some values, build it and place the dll in the correct directory.
3. write a mod that adjust all crosswalks globally to give them more time. this is by far the hardest option if you are not a programmer though.
animation has a speed value you can manipulate. I tried to tune it down somewhat so that walking speed matches. with option 2 you can mess around with the number.
Thank you for this amazing mod!
Is there any way to adjust the speed slightly? Or does such thing require complete redo of the animation files? Now it seems like my cims are not fast enough to clear the crosswalks, but without the mod they are running everywhere.....
compare walking speed with and without the mod.
Game interrupted or bounced, especially during the game.
Do not use this mode. The creator needs to update this mod quickly.
(They look weird but kinda realistic considering that some birds use gusty winds to come to a full stop mid air)
did you enable it?
