Melee for King Crab

描述
Adds lower arm actuator for all King Crab variants (base game plus DLC1) together with claw animations for melee attacks.
You will have to manually edit weapon groups for existing Mech loadouts. If your current loadout doesn't have 1 slot available in each arm then you'll have to reconfigure it, otherwise mod works fine in existing saves.

Yeah, it's strange that Bounty Hunter's Marauders can't punch, but I guess it's because of slot limitations. Modding it will be trivial though since original model can punch.

They're technically speaking gun shields for the autocannons that are commonly installed in those arms, HOWEVER pilots have modified King Crabs into being completely melee focused.

i mean to be fair melee looks a little goofy in the game in general lol, still glad you made the mod though

There are animations for punches in game files (I use them), and even claw animations (as separate model) for some cinematic. I think devs didn't prioritize that enough to actually finish it, and as punching with open claw looks goofy they just decided against melee entirely.

i always thought it was dumb that they cannot melee considering thats literally what the claws are for.
