Custom Title Form of Address

描述
This mod allows you to enter and use your own form of address for your character based on their primary title.

Updated for CK3 version 1.18.1.1 (Crane).

Sick of the standard "Duke", "Queen" or "Sultan"? Want a culturally specific term but there's no mod that adds it? Conquered half the map and feel that you should now be called "Great Super-God-Emperor" and not a boring old "Emperor"?
With this mod you can now address ;) any of these problems.

A new button for editing form of address (FoA) was added to character and primary title windows. Click it to enter your preferred male and female forms of address. This affects game UI, event texts etc. - everywhere your character is referred to by title you will see your new form of address.
Right-click "Customize FoA" button if you want to revert to the vanilla FoA.

Due to the way the game and this mod are implemented, your character must be at least a Duke to make use of a custom FoA (so no custom FoAs for Counts currently).

After you set a custom FoA for your primary title, it will remain tied to it and will be passed down to your heir. Should you change your primary title, either manually, by losing it or by inheriting a higher-ranked title, your character will stop using its FoA and will switch to the form of address for their new primary title.

You can also set a custom FoA for any vassal who holds a Duchy or a higher title in your realm.

@Dark91 Works fine for me. Make sure your game is at v1.18.1.1 and the mod is at v0.3.20.

Also Steam sometimes fails to automatically download mod updates from the Workshop. So try unsubscribing, waiting a little bit while your local version of the mod is removed, and then resubscribing.

I just see your post but it doesn't work for me. The male adress remain inchanged.

Additionally, implemented a workaround for the issue where male form appeared to be unchanged after applying changes in "Edit FoA" window. So now the male form should get saved properly again.

@famiglia_ducale Not sure which specific UI element you mean, but have just merged in vanilla changes from CK3 v1.18.1.1. Hopefully this helps.

Sorry to bother you, but needs an update to 1.18.1.1
Because Paradox added a "House Relation level icon" on Characters’ house Coat-of-Arms at the character window, there is a need for an update. After subscribing your mod, the new relation level icons on the house CoA doesn't appear. Your mod is a "must" mod for CK3 but because of the new 1.18.1.+ update, not compatible with mods like "Hometowns" that touch the character window (window_character.gui), I think... Thank you in advance for any help you can provide and have a good day.

The mod has been updated for compatibility with 1.18 (Crane).

Male form not changing is due to a known vanilla bug [forum.paradoxplaza.com] in the title customization window, introduced in v1.18, where only the adjective, but not the title, gets saved.

This mod uses title customization window as the basis for "Edit FoA" window, so unfortunately this vanilla bug manifests as Male form not saving when the FoA is edited.

Hopefully, Paradox will fix this issue soon, in the meantime here is a workaround.

As a workaround, after entering your FoA and saving changes, right click on the "Edit FoA" button in the character/title window and then left-click it, to open Edit FoA window again - at this point the male form you entered previously will be applied; after that exit the Edit FoA window without making changes.
