@WhySoCereal18, that is actually a pretty good idea. I don't have XCOM 2 and the SDK installed right now but i'll look into that whenever i reinstall it.

I'd love to see the fan made chapters like the Angry Marines and the Pretty Marines xD

@[MYST] Fry93 , actually TGA also works. When i imported the files already in the game to test then they came as TGA. I'll look into those for sure. :)

they are 64x64, or the banners are 64x94, all .tga and with transperency. you can easily make them bigger without losing to much quality and save them as PNG.

@[MYST] Fry93 , They are 256x256 PNG files. But they have to be packaged using XCOM 2 Editor.

Sorry for being taking so long to update. I've been spending a lot of time streaming and working on my new clothing mod for XCOM 2.

What kind of format do the icons need to have? I still have a buttload of HiRes badges from DoW1 that could be used in this mod for almost all 40k factions. Also I'm playing with a complete Tanith army. More than 30 characters from the books to fill out 3 squads. And with the new flamer mod Brostin finally has his lover.

Honestly, I can't wait for the eventualy Bolter, Chainsword, etc. mods so I can get my purge on

Awesome! As far as I remember there were great looking icons/symbols in Horus Heresy Books - I think there were various chapters of Word Bearers and pre-heresy variants of legions iconography, specialised unit markings etc. It would be great to have them too

@Mecrutio Try Again Bragg didn't make the cut, cause he's dead. Brostin (flamer) Gol Kolea (gunner or grenadier) and Rawne (for some reason, always starts on the intro mission and ends up with big gun in my Xcom runs, so I set it) as my big weapons threats.

I use a mix of Capn Bubs, Advent Armor mod (capes are a big plus) and mostly Dawn of War voices. Gaunt I use the hero from Space Marine; Hark the Commissar from DoW1, and for some odd reason MkVenner ended up with the cockney guy from Saints Row to avoid using the same voices.

Was pretty cool to have melee-using Gaunt, psionic Inquisitor Lilith (using the DoW2 female inquisitor hero's voice) and sniper "Mad" Larkin (Catachan voice) scoring the campaign-ending kills on the bosses a few months back.

@Mecrutio, nice! I do plan to add the IG symbols, but i'll have to vectorize or draw them myself since i could not find a clear image that was not on really bad resolution. Between streaming and heavily studying Zbrush and 3ds Max so i can make 3d assets for mods i don't have a lot of time for that.

@tabris, this mods is great, im slowly making IG special weapons (flamer is done) and these are gunna be great for my IG themed squads!

@ShotgunSoul, i've been thinking about doing just that. I'm sure the Cadian Gate symbol you see on most cadian soldiers and the First And Only logo will be the first ones.

I've been considering making some 40k customization options but it might take a while since i'm still learning Zbrush and that would be A LOT of work. I would probably start with the more generic cadian soldier armor but i could add komissar stuff

Considering I have Gaunt's Ghosts as a squad, if you can make the Tanith First and Only as one of the first Imperial Guard regiments ...

BTW, someone needs to mod a commissar-style officer's hat. Fancy beret just doesn't look right on Gaunt and Hark.

@Rover I would love to do that. The problem is finding lore friendly icons. If you have any suggestions it would be nice. I could make some from scratch myself but inbetween my streams and other real-life stuff i don't have a lot of time to do it.
