Mission was meant to be very hard and almost impossible to get to the actual endgame scene, indeed the boat had a broken reservoir and was very hard to reach the end of the river through Esseker, but if you had a canister with gasoline and refuel the boat you could get to the end.
Saving was corrupting most of the scripts so that's why it was disabled in the first place, loot density and variety was mostly from Ravage mod asset's

would gruppe-adler's persistence script work well with this for saving the story's progress, has anyone tried?

Haha, almost thought I had this mission. Escaping in the boat, but run out of fuel in the middle of the river. What I would appreciate: saving ability, vehicles not despawning, a little bit more relevant items (fuel canister, ammo, TOOLBOX) being found in the searchable places instead of clothing, binoculars and leg straps.

If the chopper doesn't spawn for anyone else after throwing flares just wait around 10 min's usually means the chopper has crashed and the pilots need time to walk to your location, then you will receive a task failed and a new objective for escape :)

As a minor workaround for the vehicles, where possible it's probably best to try log off near a town so you at least can try find another vehicle again, but not being able to stockpile too much makes it rough

Its a shame the vehicle despawning never got fixed, pretty much ruins the ability to stop and reload on an otherwise really amazing scenario, oh well, back to searching for a working Dayz single player experience

Just a note from an old fart - playing solo because I don't know any other septuagenarians who are into first person shooters.

I can't play for too long at one time because it's not good for me to be sitting still in one place, so I have to use the Abort option to quit from time to time. Since I'm the host, when I restart the game later, I come back to where I was when I quit with all the items I have on my body Inventory , but any vehicle or items stored in it is gone. I've even tried quitting while sitting in a vehicle as driver. On restart I dropped to the ground & no vehicle.

I really wish I could find this as a single player scenario where I could save, at least save on exit.

How do you save? 3 hours and can't even start from where we left off.

How to turn on saving the game option?

I can't get this to work on a dedicated server, there aren't any roles to pick after selecting the mission. It works if I host locally.

I love this map and its one of the few Ravage scenarios that actually has objectives and different factions fighting each other. However like other people have said in the comments previously, helicopter never seems to come at the survivor base which kills the mission success. Any chance of looking into this?

Heli never comes, threw a flare and everything. got the voice lines but no one showed up

Restart a game, after looting the care and dead dude next to it wait for like 5mins somewhere very close.
Then simply follow the road left or right... and hope you get lucky in finding a nice village. This doesnt mean you're in loot heaven but it helps to survive a while longer and thus begins your journey.

Maps are very rare in this game and for a good reason, once you find one the feeling of really survival is gone.
I would suggest to the auther to remove the map completely and add food and drinks to the starting point (car wreck), this would make choices at the beginning a bigger thing, get lucky and find a village/ city or die of hunger/ thurst or from NME's and radiation.

Now for my problem,
Playing the game with a friend and for some reason vehicles don't spawn back in after a reboot (not even when the host is inside the care after session end, we lost countless equipment and most importantly FOOD and DRINKS this way.
This may be intentional but there is no point in scavenging when one cant keep it safe in his pickup.
Also, Is there a way to cure radiation sickness or is it incurable after being irradiated?
I can live with the fact that it stays untill you die but then the scavenging part is more important then ever and would car respawning mean a lot more.

PS_ We want to survive the badlands for aslong as we can without going to the end game and see how far we can get :)

If you want to play this game solo just un-sub the [COOP/1-4] The Escape [UPDATED] and go to single player tab in main menu ( you of coures need all the dependencies listed. Carefull tho... some mods need extra dependencies))

I'm trying to play a game with my friend, but when either of us try to enter, he either gets stuck on the Apex screen or I get stuck on the loading screen.

I added to your mission some additionals for my local cooperative:
- spawn loot at any buildings (loot from ravage, CUP, RHS)
- repack mags with HUD
- add Zeus

having the same problem as adrian, plenty of guns no ammo. is this a bug or am I missing something obvious

Where do we find ammo we couldnt find any searching all boxes the only thing we could find is weapons without ammo and a lot of weapon

@Drift IRL I totally did not have cars and tents in mind while making the save script ( which is still being test ) I will make sure to add that once I figure this out

@Jimmakos quick question is there a way to save the cars on the map? because everytime i exit and go back in my cars and tent disappear but i remain in the same position.

We still facing difficulties with Ken about that saving workaround (mostly because of the time zone and our work's barrier). I still have a workaround planned which needs yet to be tested.
