how come the Vocalizer Radial Menus is not in my Edit Keys/Buttons

@ion thank you! are there instructions on how to download manualy? I tried subscribing to another add-on, just a weapon re-skin to see if that would work at the same time I tried this, and the weapon re-skin works. I love what you've created here and have done for the community. I will admit I haven't read the discussions much or looked through many comments so I will do that when I have the time.

@TrademarkUnknown: There's a problem with Workshop servers, it's all over L4D2 Discussions. I've wrote about this already in my previous comment - install manually or wait for Valve to fix its servers.

I subscribe to it but it doesn't add it to my add-ons in game. Any suggestions?

@Κλαιω: There might be problems with Workshop because I see other people are also complaining about add-ons not working for them. Could be even related with yesterday's Cloudflare problem. So either install add-ons manually or wait for Valve to fix the problem, there's nothing I can do about this.

Problem with the mod. Even if I subscribe, it doesn't get added to my addons list and it's the only mod that does this..

@久田イズナ: No, because automatic thanks (when being revived, healed or given an item) are defined in game's talker system, not in my vocalizer.

Can you remove the automatic thanks? Because it doesn't come from the player's heart, it's very fake

That's the thing. `jointeam` command doesn't work when you're incapacitated or dead, unless there's something I'm missing there.

@Johnny Casey: My vocalizer is simply using jointeam command, nothing more.

I am curious about how the 'character select' feature was done in your mod.

From what I understand, to select different characters in an official dedicated server, one must first go idle, then execute `jointeam 2 (survivor's name)` command. But there's a catch to this; it doesn't work when you're incapacitated, or dead.

However, I have seen other people playing on official dedicated servers, somehow managed to switch characters while incapacitated, or even dead. And they said they did it via your vocalizer mod.

What did you actually do to make the above possible? I'd really like to know.

Hello ion, so i've noticed sometimes the vocalizer does not want to work while i'm in a match while another player can use it. not sure why but it'll just pick and choose when it wants to let me use it.
any idea why it happens and if it's fixable?

@DeadSpace47: Simply put, talker represent files which define behavior of voice lines. And yes, my vocalizer have those and you would need to modify them to accomplish what you want.

What talker? you mean mod vocalizer?

@DeadSpace47: That is correct. The only other way I'm aware of is to change the talker.

Ion, so i assume what i needed, requires Sv_cheats always on 1, right? No other way, mechanically?

It only works if SV_cheats is on since ent_fire requires it. Sadly i can't host a local server through matchmaking(so anyone can join) without first using the console to load any map.
i wonder if this concept can only be used with sv_cheats on but since you "affect" another player, it surely needs sv_cheats on.

Is it possible to bind a key to force a vocalizer command to be played. Like if I am playing Nick on a local server(that allows all lines to be played), I want to when I press K, to make Ellis say one of his story lines.

Like when I play as Ellis, I can easily find the radial menu and just press the button to say a random story line.
But what if I am someone else?
I am asking if this capability is possible.
I remember in Left for bots 2, when you order bots to move somewhere. When they arrive on the destination they will use a line "Alone", meaning they will say something about where's everyone.
I think in that mod it was something about survivor lost answer call? If that can happen, since it is a general line that every survivor can use, what if a specific voice line can be used? Like the storyline from Ellis.
Or the lines can only be used from the same survivor only.
Did you get my terrible explanation?

@TheDutchDemon: Of course it works properly, otherwise it wouldn't be on the Workshop. You just have to carefully read everything in the description above and familiarize yourself with the vocalizer.

@James Grayson: You can't select a specific response. The game randomly choose a response from the pool of defined voice lines until all are used, and then repeat.

vocaliser does not work properly i can use some of the things but most keys does not work

The best vocalizer on the workshop! I am just curious, some options offer different responses from the Survivors. Is there a way to select a specific one, or it is always depending on one's luck?

@goxy: You can't go idle if you are the only player, or if all other players are already idle.

Can't seem to switch characters or go idle, otherwise it works great.

@n8doggny: You mean the various voice packs for survivors? Yeah, the vocalizer should work with them without problems.

@ion sorry i just had to verify game files, there was a lot of modded chinese servers and ig playing on em messed up my vocalizer lines... prolly had a vocalizer fatigue plugin or smtg.. my b for the trouble.

@Yuugenmagen: That happens when you use Beel's Talker together with my vocalizer, it's noted on the talker's Workshop page.

For some reason any campaign map crashes back to the main menu right when the map loads with this mod enabled. I don't have any conflicts or alot of mods. Am I missing something?

@Versecta: Many lines are not available in Scavenge and Survival, so try them in Campaign or Realism. There were no talker updates from Valve for a very long time and probably won't be any more.

am i bugging or are some of the lines not usable anymore in official servers? did valve do some updating in those mini updates?
