It doesn't seem like the fov script is doing anything whatsoever, in fact changing the viewmodel fov in the script file by hand, commented or uncommented, doesn't do anything either.
I've moved it to the custom folder and still no dice.

Is the FOV script supposed to look like this? I also have the beefy weapon sound patch, both of them are in the custom folder; https://steamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2553690375

You could just move both files entirely into your custom folder rather than copying them. It worked wonderfully for me.

how you make this work? I copied the files from Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\362890\506025654
362890 and put them in my custom folder, which is enabled in the gameinfo. all my other mods work but this FOV script and the Ilopn shotgun doesn't :(

Well, the game still works without it.
So, you can choose yourself, just I animate it with this fov in mind...

Is it still needed though?

I think this needs to be installed manually. Script files don't work with the Workshop.

The fov script supposed to change that.

But a lot of things have been changing everynow and then in Black Mesa, and I don't think I can keep updating something when they also updates something.
(I've been thinking of just putting this into private until they finalize the game), so there's no people that's downloading it, wanting it, but can't get it.
But, there's also some people that still wanted it...
So, I don't know...

You don't have any other mods that you've installed have you?
Maybe most likely something that uses the shotgun script...

No other mods that changed scripts/gameplay/weapons/weapon_shotgun.dmx
or

Also I downloaded the gameinfo.txt again nothing happens.

I subscribe to it nothing happens download it to custom folder nothing happens. Like it just doesn't work for some reason so please respond to this

I have a problem with this addon. The shotgun animations are amazing by the way, and that shotgun model is badass! The main problem is that the fov addon doesn't work. At all. I installed it the way you said to do it but it's like the addon doesn't even exist. I hope you can look into this and hopefully fix it. Thanks

Seems that the December update messed up this mod. Switching to other weapons changes the hands to some others from multiplayer, and the texture is messed up.

How do I install it in offline?

The script doesn't seem to be working for me at all.....

okay so these mods are very glitchy for me

i had installed both, and they seemed REALLY GOOD, but for some reason, i uninstalled them.

and now i cant see the shotgun, nor freeman's hands.

i then proceded to re subscribe to the addon, and it didnt do a damn thing

For me the fov is very high can't see my arms only some of the front arm fingers.
