I think this mod works but not with things that overhaul the map like the BMCE overhauls

ATTENTION! For the mod to work normal, you need to rename the file format from .bin to .vpk, open with GCFScape, extract root folder and delete blend_vistacliff001.vmt. To pack root folder with VPK Packer (install Half-Life 2 or any source game, go bin folder and find file vpk.exe. Drag root folder on vpk.exe file.), rename to original mod file and replace original file. Done.

Even though it is very very subtle, it is very nice.

@Weismann, the mod makes the ground textures of the vista more orange and brown and less red.

Found a fix for the issue you guys are talking about; manually put it in your custom folder, then delete "blend_vistacliff001.VMT".

Fair warning, like Mr. Someguy said, there's a good chance that if you use this mod it'll break part of Surface Tension. I had the same issue they did where after the minefield area the cliffs were wireframe.

Used this mod and my ground textures along the cliff turned to wireframe. Sorry that's not very helpful, I haven't had time to investigate it myself. I may look into it in more depth later.

lol, i wish there was an inverse of this mod, just making the lighter stuff in the area darker.

Unfortunately, this addon screws up the entire cliffside section in the recent December update.

old one sorta looks better in my opinion. It looks more red. Like a real mesa hill.

I think this one is based on peoples colour preference. Perosnally i like it it makes it less red.

I'm red-green colorblind, so I didn't see understand the change unill I read the description. lol

I prefer the left picture more to be honest however you did spend a lot of time & work into this. So if there's anyone else thinking like you then your work wasn't in vain.. Good job on the effort and quality. Looking forward to see more work from you in the future. :)

Nice the skybox blends in with the rest of the game better with this mod. I also think it would be cool if someone made a mod that makes Black mesa have red cliffs everywhere like in hl1.

To me, the changes just kind of make the map look more green. I like where it blends better, which is one of this mod's best strengths, but the stunning vista wide-shots look worse with this mod.
