This mod is cool. MP5K is the best replacement for the Uzi. The only problem is that the firing sound is kinda underwhelming. Maybe a bit punchier would be nice.

I'd hazard a guess that the latter also contains sounds for the reload. The silenced SMG uses all of the same reload/handling/foley sounds as the unsilenced one, so naturally, that would conflict.

wtf is up with this and killing floor 2 varmint rifle they conflict but this if for the uzi and thats for the silenced smg?

Was just wondering, knowing you said an analogy about pixel scaling from down to up, which I understand perfectly because I know texture editing, at first I thought you meant you got that same "broken" file then scaled it down and up (or up when it was down already), but I was sure you meant you just yet again got the original and edited it for L4D2.

Just to be clear, you fixed it by getting the original sound from Insurgency and editing it, right?

I found the problem (for some reason it was at 22050 hz instead of 44100 hz, a huge mistake/oversight on my end) and I re-did the shooting sound to fix this. The sort of sound issue is analogous to what happens when you take an image, downscale it, and then scale it back up; the resulting image is artifacted and lower quality/pixelated than it was preciously.

I wouldn't say the sound is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I would say that the firing sound is a little bit low quality though, maybe it's my "opinion" or the raw file sounds better than ingame.

Can you elaborate further? I just tested it, and I didn't get any problems whatsoever with the sound. Could be a sound cache problem on your end, try verifying the game's files?

This is the Uzi, not the CS:S MP5 version; it's literally impossible for it to appear on the left side of the screen. If you're referring to the latter, the reason it would appear on the left side of the screen is:

1. You need to restart the game after installing; this is a problem exclusive to CS:S weapon replacements, no idea why. This is the most likely scenario and solution.
2. You have a conflicting mod. whether it be another CS:S weapon mod or a script mod that is interfering.

You can't simply edit the scripts to change a weapon compiled on the Uzi to replace the CS:S MP5; you have to recompile the entire viewmodel.

Hi, bro! When will you finish script editing for css mp5? I really need this skin for my mp5, if i could i edited it by myself from Uzi scripts to mp5, but i don't know how.

@Cyberman: Because I have to edit the script file to replace a CS:S weapon anyway, yes, I will be including a VGUI bundled with the CS:S MP5 version.

Do you plan on including a HUD icon with the CS:S version of this weapon?

I had some ideas, not requests, just ideas if you want more variety.
Perhaps replace one of the SMGs with the AKS-74u. I am aware it's not an SMG, but it is compact enough where it might fit the MP5A5 in third person.
You could also try the MP40 for one of the SMGs.

This isn't a criticism of the author of this mod, on the contrary I think this is an excellent port and I'm very excited to try it! Um, my only issue with the reloading animation is that upon extracting the magazine the left thumb doesn't bother pushing down that little lever that'd release the magazine. That's my gripe/curiosity, aside from that, trying it now!~

For everybody searching a replace that is an actual mp5 this is the most adecuate one is very well detailed and it fits with the looks of the other weapons.

Amazing work, but does anybody know if there is a replace for the hidden mp5, i don't mean this model in particular but any replace for de mp5.
