you should make it so you cant use higher tier tools or weapons till you gain enough level in that skill. this would make it so if people spend more time playing a single class they cant just switch classes mid game without improving the skill first, and they'd also have to actually improve their mining or woodcutting before they can use the really good tools instead of having a friend craft tools for them.

Genuinely this would be so fun in multiplayer when its finished! i'm keeping my eye on this.

woodcutting could have more treeshake loot come out (and just mine the trees faster)

Multiplayer doesn't work fyi, only combat works for the host

For woodcutting's passive bonus, what if it gave a very tiny boost to fruit drop chance and similar events that might happen when hitting the tree for the first time?
