Just to make it clear to everyone, the "glowing" that appears around the cracks is because the entity that displays the texture is a model, meaning it uses per-vertex lighting, which is what causes the flickering glow effect. Not much can be done about it unfortunately.

please remove the outline, it looks very good with the crack, it would make it more subtle like everyone said.

Try to remove the "square outline" around the crack texture. It should be more subtle then.
