Finally a good DIO i fell in love with this character as soon as i played him his time stop is so satisfying to achieve and this is now my rivals main if I'm using workshop characters

The angle is only the last hit, the knockback is the average of the attacks you used

the only thing I think this is missing is a road roller as a final smash buddy compat.

aditionally, I'd like to ask, how exactly does the knockback work on time stop? does it register the knockback one by one? or does it only register the last/ the first one?

A fun set of characters, but for some reason, Stands seem to break the game in Rivals Rogue. They slowly fall through the floor when you activate them for standing attacks or leave them idle, and sometimes (I haven't figured out what exactly triggers this?), attacks that collide with the Stand rack up hundreds of damage for every second they make contact, which gets you invariably one-shot.

Again, both of these glitches apply to both Jojo and Dio, but they have only ever happened to me on Rivals Rogue. Regular stages seem to work as they're supposed to. And for that reason, I understand if you can't really fix it.

i think this is my favorite workshop character period. the last time a platform fighter character hit like this for me was when I played kragg for the first time. the dynamic with when to use knives/hold onto them is insanely interesting, time stop is such a satisfying thing to build to even if I haven't gotten good at capitalizing on it yet, and god, that side-b.

this feels like...on par with vanilla rivals characters in terms of polish and feel. gorgeous sprites, too. thank you for releasing this.

landing nair, jab is a good combo starter, ground fspecial, knives are good at a distance and the hitstun makes for a good approach option and starter, dspecial is a good distance closing tool, it's not super fast but the stand does have a 1 hit armor

stand tandem is basically free hits too, there are plenty of combo routes possible that can get you a time stop, especially at low %, plus stand rush is good because it allows you to sandwich your opponent for extra hits

do you know how busted a time stop is in general? sure it's cool as heck but it literally allows you to get a free stock 90% of the time, the fact it's hard to get is the point, you should only be able to stop time if you're really popping off. Learn your combos, don't rely too much on stand rush to get it, fspecial is a good time stop tool, the thing with stand rush is that DIO's was literally 10 hits, plus reglar jab meant you were already at 12, now it only counts for 7 hits which is better. Things like fspecial or knives exist to extend combos, especially knives with how much stun they have. Try to lab combos outside of stand rush if you wanna get a time stop

imo time stop is way too hard to get, i find myself just doing the same repetitive combos when i try to get it and theyre decently easy to escape with basic DI. it just doesnt feel worth it getting like a 20 hit combo just to stop time and get a stand rush and maybe a neutral smash in

A visual bug I've notices is Dio's wall jump retains the angle from the Up Special rotation, causing the cling and climbing animation to be misrotated. Might need to reset rotation on wall jump.

it's not up to 25, it's just that jab now only adds 6 hits to the combo counter instead of 12, so using jab to get timestop gives you a slight penalty to it

Bumping the combo Time Stop threshold from a 15 to a 25 combo is insane.
Getting time stop was already tricky in 1v1, but now i's basically impossible unless your opponent is at 0%

anincredible dio all around my only hope is that you can sneak in road roller some where down the line maybe as a bonus during the world or an alternative activate to the world. so much potential with this conceptually and such a nice omage of HFTF ASBR and the anime in general kudos

Reaccurring bug where if either DIO or Jotaro get frozen the game crashes. I know that mod making is very time consuming so when you could get the chance, please fix this. Thanks

Is there a way to change the Time Stop threshhold? With multiple people its super easy to farm it and spam it. If 2 CPU get caught in The World's barrage it practically guarantees it and you can keep chaining it.

Up Heavy's second hit box (the one behind him) sends in a weird direction, forwards instead of backwards.
