Why did you use eerie music which sounds like you're curiously investigating for an annoying zombie horde cue!? That was incredibly inappropriate and pretty offensive to those who just wanted quiet investigating in ghost towns!

I was wowed with how far you can see in the distance. i thought the building in map 4 was a skybox but no, its the saferoom at the end. just, impressive visuals :steamthumbsup:

if i could give feedback the infinite hordes could be a bit more balanced and since every map ends with a infinite horde it does get a bit too much but either way i belive the map is super generous with items.

Played it and crashed after level 1. Was fun but hopefully that can get fixed - decent # of mods so not sure what caused the crash.

I enjoyed this map ngl, the ambience and music added an atmosphere. The last two chapters were a bit long, and the music could be slightly lowered volume wise. Overall a fun map.

If I set fire to a gasoline canister or a Molotov cocktail, the frame rate drops significantly to 30-40. The game is unmodded. The campaign is beautiful, but it requires further optimization.

近期打的最舒服的一张图,地图空间大,环境明亮,路程基本上也是一条线,只要别乱走就不容易迷路,就是地图细节太多玩起来有点掉帧,然后救援关的尸潮有点难顶,但难度总体来说中规中矩。总结:好图,值得反复品味:AviciiThumbsUp:

That's weird. Make sure you got all 6 parts, restart your game after it's done downloading and if it still doesn't show up try typing "map earlydays1" in the console.

神图,风景不错,建模精细,物资合理,难度适中。
我觉得这图最神的是把感染初期的那种氛围做的很不错,到处都是警铃声和人尖叫声,很混乱的感觉,个人很喜欢这种感觉。就是优化可能会有点差,不过我看作者也在优化了,现在应该比之前好多了吧,总体瑕不掩瑜:lunar2019grinningpig:

风景优美,纹理精细,很合时宜的配乐更让这张图上了一层楼。因为是爆发没多久,所以显得很明亮和有烟火气
路线设计合理很少迷路,流程长但补给也同样多,全程见了3个激光 2个榴弹和m60以及数不清的强化弹药。m1m2的药店伟大无需多言,m5两个补给点甚至就隔了几个拐角,非常非常友好!
个人几乎挑不出刺,完美的毋庸置疑的神图。

I just played this again after the latest update and I like the changes! I actually rewrote a sentence in my longer review because you fixed one of my only gripes :gearthumbsup:

I have a few ideas for making the atmosphere even better, but they're just suggestions. I totally get it if you don't want to raise the entity count or you just want to move on to the next project.

1. Add some env_weaponfire entities out-of-bounds to create the illusion of other survivors fighting zombies right outside the playable area.

2. Let players catch glimpses of a few uninfected humans running around out-of-bounds. The hostage models from CS:S should work, parented to a track train or func_movelinear.

@i agree Don't worry, it's not very noticeable and I think the improved bushes and forest paths make up for it.

@Marcos thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately I can't make it harder. I've had some people complain that it's too hard already and in some of the recorded playthroughs I watched people were really struggling.

The next campaign is more rural and mostly night time, but it's going to be a while before it's released. These take a long time to make.

Very cool map, awesome to see L4D2 alive in 2025. I only wish the map could be a little bit harder sometimes - maybe more zombies ?. Maybe it could use a longer battle at the very end of the run to the chopper. You can see in my video that we were quite surprised that the helicopter was already so close when we entered the roof area. Maybe the roof could be bigger/longer, with one last run featuring some tanks or a horde — everything just ended a bit too fast.

Also, maybe add some more detail to the streets, because they sometimes feel a bit too empty, and it becomes “too hard” for the zombies or special infected to ambush the players.

But overall, it’s a great map and we’re looking forward to seeing more stuff from you. Perhaps a full night campaign next time? I always feel that nighttime fits Left 4 Dead best because the game becomes harder and more intense, especially in forest areas, etc.

Definitely one of the top maps i have ever played so far. I and one of my friends got our attention to the atmosphere and soundtrack the most.

Dear map author; thank you for posting such an amazing work and i'd also like to give some feedbacks about optimization issues as well. I disabled all my mods to prevent some bugs or game crashes from occuring. And i described my specs in my profile at the top. I have an RTX 4060 in my case. At certain locations of the map, my fps drops like hell. I never thought i'd get under 30 fps.

An interesting and quite lengthy campaign (we completed it in just over an hour on Expert). It works without crashes with about 10 weapon mods, but it's best to avoid any particle mods.

This map is Back to School done right, well made and i love the detail in the buildings. I think the ambience in the first 2 or 3 levels could be turned down a tad, but the map was fun to explore

great map, my only complaint is there's too much noise and random music everywhere, would be a solid 10/10 map without all that but other than that I LOVED how different the chapters are and the environment and colors, really well done :steamthumbsup:

Awesome campaign! The chaos of the world going to hell as you fight through each map along with the broadcasts and hearing each evac location being wiped out and taken off the list makes it so much better!

I hope there are more campaigns focusing on the first few hours or days in the future

Really, really good campaign. The flow of the background environment sounds from loud and chaotic to quiet like stock L4D maps nails how this is indeed right after the outbreak.

Also loved the broadcast touches on both TV and radio, especially the surprise in that one out building with Jim Jones on the radio of all people. I like touches like that in L4D maps, helps sell surreal realism with a zombie apocalypse.

My only complaint is the voice acting. It could use more punch, and the pilot at the finale should be more frantic given how the survivors need to fight their way to him to escape.

really good map, maybe a little too bright for me but that's just personal taste but terrible optimization, on high end pc where on default map i have above 200fps, on this map its below 100fps and a tank rock drops in to 40fps

one of the best campaign i ever play! it was so cool to finally play a campaign that happen only 3 day after the first infection is so refreshing i will say a big 12/10
