if you mean the one i assign to maille shirt, it's pretty much only purpose is so that i can have pawns wear maille shirt with breastplate and a coat

What layer precisely is TA_underlay supposed to represent? How do I consider how it is supposed to work?

That shouldn't be happening with the coats from this mod, i take no responsibility for other mods' items.
Ludeon, in their infinite visdom, decided they wanted to be able to render coats behind head, except (1) they forgot to bump apparels on any potential layers above because "why would there be" (2) they made this be the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ default behaviour.
If it's happening with Tasty Armory coats, then game update broke something.

Also found that the gambeson coat and reinforced gambeson have similar issues. They're listed as both outer and TA_UnderArmour, so they seem to both be trying to render as outer and as under the middle layer (I'm assuming rendering under middle is intended?). The problem is again with the back view of the pawn - both gambesons hide the middle layer, whilst the front and sides show the middle layer.
(Having looked more this also appears to be the case with other stuff like the Padded Doublet you've got marked as both outer and TA_UnderArmor

There's also similar rendering weirdness with the maille vest. It's rendered over stuff like the base game Jacket (again front and sides, not back), but not rendering over you modded items like the Jupon and cuirass.

Adore the mod and the different branches of it.
Something I've noticed though, is that webbing items (arrow bag, scabbard, etc.) render under the outer layer of clothing when looking at the back of a pawn, so you can't see the equipment properly. This seems to happen with all of the webbing items from any of the mods in the series, not just the core mod.

Also, is the basket backpack meant to be a straight upgrade to the regular backpack/knapsack? Or is the extra weight the counter to that?

Mmm... maybe "Stronger Quality Scaling (1.6)" (kas.strongerscaling). Although that applies to everything evenly.

I suspect it's the MaxHitPoints of 600 compared to some others in the core module. But then TA_MailleVest and some other values would have to be rebalanced.

The "maille shirt" has a very high HP rating when made out of steel. Prestige recon armor from Royalty has 280 HP while the "maille shirt" has 830 HP for the same quality level and materials.

Is there any plans to add classical antiquity era gear like Greeks and Romans. There is another mod that adds Roman gear already but I'd love to see your take on the classical antiquity?

Sometimes a kids dress wore by a child would have its icon same as tunic, and cause the texture missing when wore by pawns.

Here to concur with others on the cloak issue. Graphical vomit on raid event whenever raiders are wearing tastycore cloaks. Invisible pawns and a background that looks like an LSD trip with a side of error spam that makes zero reference to this mod.

For my situation, there is currently no other option than to disable for now, but looking forward to the fix. because this is otherwise a great series of mods.

same here on the cloak issue only question how do i stop npc from using the cloak? i dont know how to do it in character editor like @Beau said. i would appreciate any help on this

I can also confirm the closed cloak making everyone on the same visible area invisible, happy to have finally narrowed it down at least and I can remove it from NPCs with character editor to fix it for now.

They've probably said this before, but the cloack makes every pawn dissapear, and the background go all psychodelic. Not always, when they have it all the way back, superhero style
