But, adding a new config is easy, so I've just added a magic damage config in the latest patch, v1.0.19. Enjoy!
...but in all seriousness, yeah, that's just how it is. Since the fox holds items in its mouth, held torches will have trouble producing light if you're next to a wall, and some helmets will look a little awkward due to the fox's head design and position.
Still, I figured it was better to allow helmets rather than disable them, even if not everything looks 100% correct!
In other words- a lot of effort that I don't really feel up to 😅
Firstly... is it possible to make a vanity thing that makes you look hedged even if you're not? Some of these appearances look amazing and I could imagine walking around as a plant fox of the different biomes. ^_^
Secondly... would it be possible to do a cross-content with your lil dragons with the hedge thing (possibly with the first suggestion) because PLANT. DRAGONS. :D I could only imagine how creative you could get with these!
The only other thing I can think of is if you're holding or just pressing the pendant's activation key. The fox pendant, by default, requires you to hold the key down to keep it activated.
...maybe I should change the description since it says 'toggle' 🤔
If you're not playing as a fox... well, the item is only made for foxes, so it won't work- it shouldn't even show any effects if you're not a fox.
Good news! I managed to fix the bug! Will be releasing the patch (v4.9.3) in the L'il Dragon mod that handles most of the visual stuff responsible for making my races look the way they do.
As a sidenote, I noticed AFK's has some rather naughty code responsible for changing the player's head position for their Nerve Parasite item that isn't very multiplayer-friendly, so that item will still break in multiplayer but that's not my fault :p
Regardless, thanks a heap for finding out which mod it was, I’ll see if I can fix it so you don’t have to give it up in multiplayer ;)
It's probably because it's still in alpha, but we wanted to try it, since the singleplayer experience was so cool <3
I'll try to scour for the mod in question then and come back once I find the answer o7
Is this a known thing I have to just deal with, a known thing with a fix, or an unknown thing?
Tbh, I haven’t heard of Spirit of the North until just then XD
I'm only taking a guess here though- I'm not 100% sure exactly what's going on as I've had fox gates sitting in my worlds for months without any issues and have been playing with others in multiplayer just fine.
Any extra information you can provide would greatly help in looking into this; screenshots, the mods you're running, etc.
- Thanks
