This one still uses the integrated money system and supports external modifications much easier for stuff like GMOD Blueprints, other than that I'm not sure what all has changed on the OG mod, since it was updated without communication to me.

The money gained from the entity is already defined by a CVAR... And yeah that's what I was pointing at. I'll add the suggestions to the Github.

I mean separate shops that have different with different menus. So like you could save a preset with the ID of "Weapon shop" and another "Car Shop" and then you can set a shop to that specific ID so that it has that menu.

You mean as in allow making separate shops accessible via different commands or interacting with different terminals? I might be able to.

Any current functionality with it is all you are going to get unfortunately, if you need something more specific (like loadout set variants) you're going to need to either make a support addon or use something like GMod Blueprints to spawn the entity with the parameters you want.

hmm... There shouldn't be any complicated functions running which would make it stutter like that... I'll investigate further and see if there's something here I can check to ensure it works properly but I can't guarantee I'll find anything. Good to know it is right after an NPC is killed though...

yeah obtaining any money from kills or money entities has a huge stutter. The only reason I subbed to this was because as soon as w.black57 deprecated the money system from weshop to it's own addon, the stuttering sucked so bad I had to use the version that still had it integrated. idk why this still stutters hard though

It doesn't seem to be any specific type of npc. I've tested it and it it always has a micro stutter when you recieve the money from killing an enemy or even when picking it up off the ground. Disabling the mod stops the stutter entirely

There shouldn't be any stuttering? What addon is the NPC you're killing from? If its default, what are your addons? And what map are you using?

If you want to override default CVARs, you typically have to save them to a config file, and then have that file auto-run after the server has started. At least, assuming you want them to save. This should be covered in most server operation guides.

It seems that when I edit the CVARs and I restart the server, they don't change how the system acts at all. It is still set to the default system. The CVARs saved and are still showing that they are set different to how the default settings are, but they still override my settings.

If you're on a server, you have to use the server-side console to change those. You can adjust the shop menu just fine on a client but you have to use the server-side console to change those CVARs.

It also looks like it isn't recognizing commands that the system uses.

I can't change or apply the presets. When I change the settings, click Save/Overwrite settings to a preset and rename it, then rejoin after saving, it's all back to the Default, and if I try my custom made on, it's still on the Default settings. The shop option saves, it's the Money option that isn't saving.

You need to provide an error message or else I cannot help you. It's probably Steam being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and not downloading the addon correctly for you, in which case, clearing your download cache can help solve it.

also, try unsubbing from their addon and re-subbing to it after validating contents. It may help with the issues you discussed.

A. I'd advise against doing that because players can just spawn the props normally, *and* because the mod doesn't really support entities.
B. I'll add it as a suggestion that the mod should have a "drop" command.

Additionally, I was planning to use the weapon drop feature so the weapons could be used as scrap in the mod 'Sandbox Crafting System'.

I messed with the options related to vmanip in the mod's settings, but nothing happened (I didn't really think it would help anyway). I'm not sure if it would be worth suggesting a built-in weapon drop option for this mod, as it would be a good complement for "role-play." However, I don't know if anyone else is having this issue.

That's weird... It shouldn't be interacting with this addon in any way...

I'll add it as a tentative bug report but unfortunately without log output there's not a whole lot I can do.

I'm having a problem where the mod I use to drop weapons stops working if this mod or the original are active. No error message pops up; it just stops activating. Neither the bound key nor typing the command directly into the console works. I use the drop weapons mod to give guns to friends or NPCs.

That is an idea I am curious if I can implement properly. It probably won't be images though, it'll likely be a model w/ textures (leave it blank to use default).

Awesome add-on. Absolutely great work. One question though, entities added to the shop have missing models/images. So they all appear as a huge error. Any way we can add our own images to these entities? Thanks.

Should be possible inside of the configuration menu, right-click the weapon and hit delete. Not entirely certain on categories, but if it isn't automatically deleted on last weapon going missing, pretty sure it's the same deal. Don't remember if it happens automatically or not.

When I go to options there is nothing under WeShop Admin or Client. It used to work before though.

The armor/health systems depend on what your *max health* is set to via the gamemode or other means. Though in every single addon I've seen with armor stuff, the max has been 255. Take that with a grain of salt though.

If you want an addon which can adjust your max health, consider ULX.

Is there a way to make the HP/Armor in the shop be uncapped? (so you can buy more even if you have over 100 HP/Armor) If not then that'll probably be a cool thing to add as an option.

The ammo limiter is set to what you set the max ammo you can purchase.

And yes that is a planned feature but with me not doing programming for a while you'll need to either apply a pull request to implement it yourself or wait for someone else to do it, or for me to return to programming work.

It looks like the ammo maximum capacity was limited to the half life 2. Is there anyway we can disable it?

And yes it does say the addon *will not work* in Sandbox. It won't, but the entities it provides will still be spawnable. Which is enough for the printers I provided.

Spawn the stamps, the individual printer upgrades, and the tray. The paper entity is *not* used.

Well, I tried everything but I can't get the printer to recognize the paper or the water.

I made custom entities, it didn't work, I tried using just props, it didn't work either.

I don't know what to do and I'll probably just give up on the idea and go back to just messing around with the standard sandbox with NPC battles.

Grab GMOD Blueprint, then look in here for a couple of examples of money printers I've set up.

First one prints money packets over 4 kills, second one is over time as long as you feed it the entities it requires. You can edit them yourself once you download them and import them.

I was wondering if there is a mod or if it is possible to create a mod that does the same thing as a “money printer” or “money generator.” (Sorry if this is a bit silly or stupid, but I can't find any mods that recreate the money mechanics of darkRP.)

(I was trying to make a darkRP server, but it kept crashing or corrupting the mod, so I had to use this add-on in the sandbox that I had been using for a long time on my sandbox server.)
