The chapter 0 is something, it does seem polished, but the way it feels, something feels off, but its still enjoyable, I have really high hopes for the following chapters, it may not be OF, but it seems that the devs know what they are doing, which is why the following chapters will most likely be absolute bangers

doesnt work, when i try to load the BAT file nothing happens, when i check launch options there isnt bmhecu when i check betas and the steam workshop nothing is there

Oh an military base shouldn't be THAT littered. We meet not one, but two drill instructors on site, and the whole place is a total mess.

Overall - good demo, but please consider removing excess detail (trash).

I can understand the radiation parts being done in concrete bunkers, but the platforming part can be, and should be, outside. IRL they don't have water below the obstacles in the army, they have mud, which is kinda worse.

Turret part in hangar was OK, it is a constructed environment. Although, I personally expected to have shooting targets pop up, but oh well, turrets it is.
Turret part in concrete pipes... Yeah, I think nobody had liked that part, but have the feeling it was a ball buster by design. 2/2

I'll write down some constructive criticism on level design. While it is kinda sorta makes sense and is fitting with Black Mesa style to have a whole hangar filled with water just to make a hazard course - it is unbelievably unrealistic. Not to mention the trucks and forklifts are drowned there! Nobody does that, army especially.

I was frustrated by the diving in a concrete pipe. What if recruit drowns there for some reason? How do you get them out? Better to make it a cloth/plastic pipe, so it is more easily accessible. Looks cooler too. 1/2

I hate turrets

- There's only 1 chapter (installed it following the instructions and even reinstalled it)

- First training room looked kinda just like cut out, flooded and edited room where Gordon had to fight with black ops ladies, also pipe is broken and it nocliped me outside itself.

- dialogues of MPs were really silent for some reason.

- It kinda looked like devs couldn't make turrets friendly so they made them as training targets.

I won't complaing, because I see that it was made by only 5 people so it's a wonder that it works.
I have high hopes for this mod and that it'll be full Black Mesa: Opposing force mod-extension like Blue Shift one day(Or there is more content here and I just screwed up instalation proccess somehow :| ...)

Worst tutorial I have ever seen. Excessively difficult and completely unrealistic. You're telling me climbing up a ladder just for a turret to shoot an explosive barrel in my face and kill me is part of basic training? Well ♥♥♥♥, I'm surprised the HECU couldn't kill Gordon when they all apparently passed ts, or that any marines were left in the first place! The only difficult part of this game is the tutorial, which again, is a tutorial. It's more about basic movement and storytelling because you've probably already finished Black Mesa, likely played the half life games, so why have such a needlessly hard tutorial when you are already familiar with everything???

so i didn't go far than the second training room (+- 10mn of gaming): first i had to reload to have the knife and go trought the pipe in the finish of the first trial just broke the immersion , you should put an equipment room BEFORE training (night vision use for exemple ) anyway doing a tutorial mod after the main game is just boring ans specially when you have to wait minutes for continue beceause npc's are talking and without auto save ..... :(

Better than black mesa itself) It's really hard to surprise me, but this mod deserves the highest praise. I don't even find any flaws. This is exactly the atmosphere that I expected as a fan of opposition force. And everything is embodied at the highest level, which is very rare for modifications. In fact, your modification will be successful even after the release of operation black mesa. There is an attention to detail in your fashion, and for me this is the most important thing. A mod that I can call art: incredible lighting, knife animations, puzzles, high-quality NPC voices

The most annoying and unnecessarily difficult training mission I have ever seen. And what's with the FPS drop? The original Black Mesa didn't have that.

My Ass Is Heavy

Definitely needs loads of optimization, the start of the level brought my FPS down to the single digits which is something not even Black Mesa at its worst (you know the one) managed thus far :P

The jumping puzzle on the spinning things over radioactive water is a PITA, I keep slipping off as the player doesn't actually sick to the moving bits, which is definitely a bug.

The turrets? Yeah no way too difficult, turrets hit way too hard and take way too long to kill. Had to mostly rely on cheating by throwing barrels around and save scumming. Oh and the third section (in the dark tunnels) is pretty impossible since barrels aren't an option there.

But... there's lots of potential! I definitely do think the level look nice and flow well. Voice acting is pretty good and in the vibe of the OG game. Keep cooking and I think this will be a good remake :)

Could someone port the models of the Marines to the Vanilla game?

It lagged on me at the very beginning but it cleared up.
CONS: That jumping key combo is ass but I suppose you would get use to it after a while. I finally cheated in two areas. 1- The two toxic pools with the rotating gee-gaws and the darkened area with the turrets. The turrets just took too many rounds to knock out. Is this a skill issue on my part? Probably. So be it. It went from challenging to no fun.
PROS: LOTS of potential here! This can really be fantastic.

replace the word Soldier with Marine in the dialog if you know whats up, Marines HAAATE being called soldiers ;)
