its hard enough keeping people from losing their minds here in the comments, and i would really not like to intensify that..
if you want the experimental version, it isnt hard to find, but if you cant put in that effort, you should not be using it.
if you have a genuine bug report, please send me an @ on the thread's discord, i cannot help you if you dont give me anything to work with.
PS: I think a "set to default" option in the mod menu would be nice.
if you are HURTING for 2.0, again the current unstable vers is available in my thread, but currently, i cannot give a firm date on 2.0's release

im making them a seperate thing from the particles due to this, but dw ill be working on it, its just that there's no way to make the particle work like that, not without huge workarounds and a big performance hit.
