Dont know if it works but if you right click on Vanilla Textures Expanded when disabled/grayed out (in the mod menu)you can disable the shuttle retexture

Just to make it common knowledge. I had a texture problem with the Airship that arrives from the empire, While it was landing and leaving it had the Relic Quest texture but when it landed it changed to red/greyish techship. I found out this texture is coming from Vanilla Textures Expanded I tried deleting texture from VTE and it landed with no texture at all lmao. Removing VTE solved the problem.

So just to make it clear Vanilla Textures Expanded isn't compatible with this mod because of this

I've encountered an issue with the texture of the Ancient sarcophagus (from an ancient danger). When I uninstall reinstall the sarcophagus (via minify everything mod) the texture only works as long as there is someione inside.
If the sarcophagus is empty, it only shows correctly in the same orientation it spawned (horizontal, with the interaction spot below). in any other orientation the texture gets shown twice, with one of them offset by at least half a tile diagonally.

Would it be possible to retexture the new passanger shuttle from odyssey into an airship like the other shuttles, or something similarly medieval/fantasy?

@Metrod125 There is a mod option in Vanilla Textures Expanded that adds that shuttle texture. The toggle in the mod options for that mod should fix your problem.

@Tinda ViralReaction (current updater of Medieval Overhaul) is in the final stages of his own Fantasy Biotech mod. It's up on his github if you'd like to take a look and see what he's done. That should cover most of the Biotech DLC. I know he's retheme'd mechanoids to resemble Dwemer technology from the Elder Scrolls. There's also a fantasy version of deathrest technology and gene modification in there too. He should hopefully have a full release in the next few weeks, I know he was calling for some testers to play around with the mod and make him some aesthetic screenshots for the steam page.

Yes, it's a gigantic project. I'm going to break it into pieces, and do the most prominent ones first. I was planning on starting with electricity.

@Muad'dib, Metrod That is very strange, I've just tested it myself and all the textures seem to be displaying as they should. The only thing I can think of is is something might be changing the texture path of the shuttle, if you can try and disable all other mods besides this mod and see if you still get the issue.

@Tinda Hey, glad you're enjoying the mods. Some good ideas there but it would be a huge amount of work, a year or two ago I might have been able to commit to it but I don't have the time these days.

If you want to use some of my textures for your own project though you're free to do so.

I love this little series of mods, and I think it can be taken further.
There is a lot of content in the vanilla game that players like me (us?) who basically only play medieval fantasy themed rimworld, simply miss out on. What if we could fantasy-theme the entire game?
Turn mechs into golems, firearms into wands, spaceships into spelljammers, electricity into arcane power conduits, computers into thinking rune machines, TV:s into scrying orbs. The possibilities are endless; I propose a collaboration!

Specifically I'm thinking about the broken-down chemfuel reactor(I think it is?)—and do you have an intact version of that, to retexture the working version that can be built?

I've also encountered the red & black ship with this mod without VE Empire enabled and cant seem to find a fix for it.
Mine however only assumes the texture form when it lands, yet it turns into the proper airship when it takes off, and hacked shuttles from relic quests look as they should in the infographs.

For some reason I'm seeing a red and black crashed shuttle from empire quests even with this mod loaded at the bottom. The weirdest thing of all is from what I can tell is that only Vanilla Expanded Empire should be using that texture but I don't even have that mod enabled anymore. I've not used it in like a year and it's not been installed since back in 1.4.

Any clue why I'm seeing wrong texture and how to fix? Like I said, I'd assume this being last would have changed it. I do know this mod is at least partially working because I saw names change in the quests and such.

I really love your fantasy themed mods, as its enable me to basically have a seamless DnD style playthrough, but i find the quests in the game to be more geared towards permanent settlements. have you ever considered custom quests geared towards something like that? even if some of them are just like fetch quests that would be pretty neat i think

to those that have problem with old textures showing up it's either a load order issue, move this below potential offenders, or you have texture caching on in vanilla textures expanded.

A large amount of people use VFE Empire with Medieval Overhaul Royalty, so I wonder how many people are getting the regular shuttle instead of the imperial one, and how it can be patched?

@Hemlock, @Batch_Job i found out that Vanilla Textures Expanded also causes this Bug. I also had this bug but all my shuttles where looking like the empire shuttles and not the vanilla ones. Found out that Vanilla Textures Expanded replaced them all no matter where in my load order and after uninstalling it, everything works perfectly fine

Just updated with some cleaned up and in some cases remade textures that I wasn't too happy with.

Also adjusted the scale of certain buildings and items which IMO makes them look a bit better.

Grab the update for the shiny new textures!

Are you using the VFE Empire mod? I think that mod has it's own separate shuttle which might be what's happening there.

I have this mod at the bottom of my load order, so, in theory, it would over-write anything, yet, I still get the high tech spaceships for the various ships in the game when they're landed

During the arrival and takeoff, they turn back into a blimp

I tried to disable a lot of my other mods and could not seem to figure out what was causing it. At first I thought it may have been Rimedieval as they change the textures of the cryosleep containers. But the textures were still stretched after removing it. Not really a bid deal as the mod works fine otherwise. If you are unable to replicate it, it's likely on my end somewhere. I'll do more testing on the weekend and let you know if I find any incompatibilities.

I'm uncertain if this was fixed in your update yesterday but I noticed the hermetic crate sprite gets stretched when appearing in the top-down rotation. I am still on 1.4 though.

any chance of you making a mod covering the orbitals?

like orbital trader is airship trader. ship part crash(defoliator/psychic) is airship parts etc
trasport crash is parachuter and so on?

It was a load order issue on my end seems like, after removing some outdated mods and sorting my load order with rimPy everything is working smoothly-- false alarm. My bad!

Unfortunately biotech retextures ship animations- so while the ship when landed looks like one of your (btw beautifully made) ships, once it flies away it turns into a high tech ship again

No worries. Just had a look and it seems like the crashed shuttle from VEE is actually a "Shuttle chunk" which is a separate thing to the vanilla crashed shuttle with it's own texture.

Was it the empire quest where the shuttle crashes and you have to defend them for a bit?

I had a shuttle crash event (the one where a shuttle containing pawns from a friendly faction crashes on the map and you can rescue the ones that survive) where the shuttle crashed shuttle was just the regular vanilla one and not the retexture. This one is definitely base game and not the VFEE one.

I think the issue is that the armoured shuttle from VFE is its own thing whereas this mod just retextures the vanilla shuttle.

I believe the textures expanded mod has a higher res texture for the shuttle aswell so whichever is lower in your mod list would overwrite the other.

@Botch_Job shuttle from vanilla expanded empire, but i don't turn this mod on, which is strange. From vanilla expanded i have only psycasts, Ideology, Royalty & Ideology patches and Vanilla Textures Expanded which i think may cause the problem.

@Nin Unfortunately there's not much I can do about it, it seems like the last Rimedieval update re-enabled the relic quest itself and allowed the terminals etc to spawn but still blocks the sub quests.

Is there any chance we can get this working for Relics with Rimedieval? Do you know what's going wrong per say? Spawning the quest itself works however the follow ups do not. You can reproduce easily by spawning it in with Dev Tools.

It appears that the follow up quest is being generated as a null relic which causes the errors.

Hello, I have strange issue, empire shuttle (red ship) have proper baloon skin till its landed. When its landed i see normal sci fi red empire shuttle. Don't know how to fix it (mod is loaded at the end of the list).

Any ideas?
