@Turbo Soggy dude i got a RTX-4070TI SUPER and a Intel Core I7-12700K and i was able to run the map EXTREMELY good. i even played with 2 water mods installed "Gwater2 and Gelly" and didnt lag a single bit
sounds to me like either you got scammed and the GPU is just CLAIMING to be a 4080SUPER or you got something faulty

I loaded in the map and adjust many settings from other addons I had so I was sitting there for a while.

All of a sudden, I heard a faint noise. Didn't considered it in-game as I thought I knocked on something irl. Then I heard an audible scream

wasn't that loud, that being said, still creepy. Are there more audio queues like this in the map?

barga, this mod hasn't been updated for a while, it doesn't have navmesh or ai nodes probably because the original guy's PC had problems and because hes long gone, your better off making them yourself or getting someone to do it for you

Or it could be that they have too many addons, it can cause lag if they have too many addons, I would know cuz I have so many addons my laptop lags sometimes (probably lua errors or something)

I don't think that its "horrendously optimized", I just think you have a horrendously spec'd computer.

great map but horrendously optimized. placing any sort of light or even just using your flashlight will cause awful lag.
