So recently updated my game, double ammo bins are not appearing on the equipment market list or salvaged mechs. Now at first i thought it was the new "Pilot-overhaul-eternal" but they still havent shown up after i disable them. I am able to buy them via loadouts, and "Mech delivery" mod shows me they exist, but not sure why mechs arent appearing with them, nor why the market list doesnt showcase them despite existing.

all the short list of mods I'm using have worked with this mod for a very long time. both before and after them updating, post-mission the game crashes. base game works fine. even tried a reinstall, etc. like I said, it's been troubleshot, what else do you suggest I try to troubleshoot this post-mission crash issue if the game had been working fine for me for a long time, both base game, and the mod package I'm using, then after a patch it no longer works, and only one patch I'm using hasn't updated (and the base game still working fine for me, and the only other mods I'm using besides this mod are submods of this mod that require this mod to function)?

@Rilsenti if you are playing in any language other than English, that will currently happen. There's some serious issues with the game/editor for localisation. Try switching to English to start, and then switch back once started

@roguestates that will be something unique to your setup, either you've got a mod that isn't updated for the current game version, or you're just using a mod that's incompatible with something else or is plain broken.

@phfor after the patch, the game crashes post-mission. already did all the standard troubleshooting stuff on my end (verified game files, etc etc etc, et al). only using a few mods, all YAML submods, game crashes post-mission after patch before any of the mods updated, but now that all of them but this one have updated, it's still crashing post-mission. had a lot of hours into a play through, and would really like to keep going with it. I've tried multiple times at various stages in the update cycle post-patch, but it always consistently crashes post-mission now. appreciate your work, just hoping to get an update for the latest patch.

Every time i make any changes to my mech it floats further off of the ground. this is to do with the rescale being stuck on. maybe make it a setting again and just have the default be to on?

What are you two on about lol - it's been working for a while now. Obviously some minor bugs to fix, but it is functional.

I know this mod wasn't working due to the most recent DLC expansion....has that been fixed now? A LOT of the mods I use hinge on this mod being installed & functioning.

All OmniMechs have fixed internals. You can't change those.
There's a cheat option in Mod Options / YAML for it though :)

Sorry if this question was raised before, but i can't find it. So i got to DLC7 mechs and noted, that i can't edit some modules on them. For example, i cant change engine, gyro, armor or structure. They are locked. Is there a way to unlock them?
And the second question - is there mode Clan variants of such modules?

Is there a setting to make components not take slots besides the set slot? Like not having ferro-fibrus armor take up slots.

So i think i'm encountering a bug that prevents pilot deaths. Thus far in my carrer i have lost 4-5 mechs to coring with 35% chance resulting in 0 deaths, which i already found werid, however, i revently had 2 mech get headshot with a 95% death chance result in just injuries...

question, will their be cockpit fixes for the mechs, the resize realy messed with the cockpit shake like crazy and mechs like the spider in first person u just cant see at full speed thanks the the window bars. please help, I like the resize feels more real in universe but first person if difficult sometimes now.

@RiotRaider those issues are just base game coop issues, nothing we can do about that. And yes, there is a system with that name, not a bug?

@Nulm due to those mechs requiring weapons that aren't available without additional mods, doesn't make any sense for YAML to add them.

Playing with this (YAML, YAEC, YAWC) in multiplayer, and my friends often get sent past the salvage collection, see incorrect shares, and all this often soft locks them from being able to ready for new missions. Also, one got a bunch of DUNE references on the planet. Says it is owned by House Harkonnen.

Is there anyway to make the mechs their vanilla size again? I really dont like the mechs being so small. I dont feel powerful and the game isn't fun with the small mechs.

I tried using it with the Mech Delivery mod and it wouldn't work, it froze the game when trying to convert the save and I even tried using it without that other mod and by the way, I used it by itself and it still didn't work.

I am having not just bobbing but a total re-aim of my character'shead in the cockpit of my Spider, looing My forwards is now "Up" peering through the obstructing rollcage.

I'm also having the bobbing. also I ran into a Fatal Error issue still. I'm trying to disable some of YAML stuff to see where I can isolate it (also to check to see if any of my other mods might be the cause of it)

You guys need to make patch for the head bobbing issue, Its cuased by the synchronized locomotion setting being forced to ON when the game is showing it as OFF.

Anyone having this issue needs to go to the miscellaneous-In game settings for mechlab and tick synchronized locomotion so it shows as ON, restart the game then un tick it to OFF then restart the game again, And the cockpit bobbing will stop going haywire.

This has been an issue for 3 weeks, and ive seen no one post a fix about it so enjoy being able to actually play the game again with out flying all over the cockpit.

@jshowers8822 Go do this and it will fix your issue.

I'd imagine you all thought of this, but I should ask, why isn't it possible to downscale the Fafnir and other big mechs so they could fit in the dropship while leaving the rest of the mechs at regular scale, as opposed to making all mechs smaller?

Id care a lot less about the re scaling if the head bobbing didnt go haywire. I can't pilot my pirates bane in first person as the cockpit model is bouncing all over the place, even covering the targeting reticle at times.

Has the Crash issue been solved? I had to disable everything Ymal due to my game not even loading in but haven't tried it again since a couple weeks ago. (and on the note do I need the newest DLC to run Ymal)

Using Yet Another IS Mech mod, says it requires Yet Another Mech Lab and shows a conflict warning triangle. I restarted and tried to run my next mission, but fatal error. What am I doing wrong?

At this point I would just ask the YAML devs if they could just add a workshop item that basically disables rescale, that way they can just wash their hands of the ppl who complain about getting stuck again. "Hey you chose to download and run the mod that disables rescale, not our fault now since its on by default".

@Phantom Crusader I'd be interested in hearing how you did this, or a download of your edit. I'd much sooner disable the rescale code from executing than having to go through every mechs.json for add on mods to manually type in a scale setting

@Void Smasher It looks like I would have to download the MW5 Mod Editor to do this, and would have to somehow turn a simple file replacement into an actual standalone mod. I don't have 55GB of free space, or the knowledge on how to do this. I'm much more of a mod user than a mod maker! My nexus file is exceedingly simple to use as it is just a notepad edit of a single file. Drag and drop to overwrite the YAML file.

There is also the way @Phantom Crusader has gone about it, although it's more than just re-adding the missing enableMechRescale value. Still fiddling with that and seeing if I can work out the exact procedure, as it is not functioning on my end yet.

@Runny Legs First make sure that this function is enabled in YAML settings, there is V1 and V2 of it. Next - right click on the mech in cold storage.

Can anyone tell me how to breakdown a mech into salvage?, it says it is a feature and it certainly used to be but I can't find it anywhere.

@Null I think I found a better way to do this, all the original Oraeon rescale code is working, its just the enableMechRescale global variable was removed from the gui_config.ini, which controls having the switch in Mod Options. Also when a mech is spawned Oraeon code is called and it executes the rescale regardless of the enableMechRescale value.

I was able to revert the changes and package yaml entirely, so you can just go to mod options and flip it on or off If any one likes. IDK how the Mod overriding works with yaml or even how to upload a mod, I was going to do a lot more reading on it, but I do have a the 97.3.2 yaml with it restored and working if anyone likes?

@Null oh, it's actually quite simple, you just need to make a hard dependency on the YAML mod when you configure the mod on Steam, then the file will be replaced automatically. I made a similar mod for XCOM2, and I think it will work here too. This is especially handy when you're offering a different config file in your mod for another mod. It is important that the path to the configuration file in your mod must be the same as in YAML.

Where is the heavy head bobbing coming from lately? Is it main game or this mod? Rly can't bear it. Also theres some 'Mechs you can't salvage assemble: Rifleman, Raven, Catapult, Hatchetman and Corsair.

Unfortunately not, as it is not a standalone mod in the traditional sense. It's a file replacement. So you download it and then paste the contained file within inside the Resources folder of YAML itself. Sorry!

To those of us unhappy with the rescale changes, I've done a quick edit to the mechs.json fie to revert the changes back to vanilla. You can find it here:
