I also had the same experience as @gravyjones.

From my tests, I've found that there was a compatibility issue with "[WOTC] Detailed Soldier Lists Redux", and that "[WOTC] Extended Personnel Info Redux" would visually break the UI, however not "stealing" the controls.

anyone have issues with the squad menu disappearing? i have to go to squad management and hit the button i want within a fraction of a second or the button actions revert to default.

Give this a try:
1.] Install a custom squad icon mod
2.] Go to its config folder and open up an .ini file, looking for SquadImagePaths
3.] Copy any SquadImagePaths you are interested in
4.] Go to this mod's config folder and open XComSquadSettings.ini
5.] Add the SquadImagePaths from step 3

I haven't worked on modding XCom 2 for quite some time and don't have the SDK installed, so hopefully this works (since I am unlikely to implement any code changes at this point).

The squad management works really well! However, I can't seem to select a Squad at the Mission Breifing screen where you add soldiers. I can see the Squad button on the top but none of my controller buttons are getting to it. Which button is used for the squad drop-down menu?

? It's a mod designed to specifically add support to the Squad Manager for people using controllers ... I don't see any issue that the new features don't work with Kb+M ??

This mod will NOT work when using a mouse and keyboard ! WTF WWTF WHAT WHY MOST US WITH MOD USE THE PC AND mouse and keyboard ! SO THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK FOR US WTF

Mod works great, but I can't access any of the custom squad icons that I downloaded from other mods, only the default squad icons appear. Is there any fix to this?
I know that the custom icons still exist because my first two squads still have custom icons from before I used this mod.

The ability to add soldiers is definitely a part of this mod.

1.] Find the squad you want to add members to.
2.] Right stick click to focus on the soldier UI.
3.] Right bumper to show all available soldiers.
4.] A button to add the selected soldier to the squad defined in step 1.

So, I could create new squads, look at the hanger bay, and delete them, and assign patches. But I cannot add solders at all. There seems to be no way to add a solder to a new squad even with this mod. Besides that this is obviously some great work, just wish it was a liiittle more functional.

@kdm2k6 I've been looking forward to a lwotc campaign but was a little bummed about going back to keyboard and mouse after years of controller ease. Never dreamed someone would make lwotc controller compatible, amazing work and thank you!

DoGy AUT is correct. This is to allow controller users to access Long War of the Chosen's Squad Management. Adding squads, and a squad interface, to WotC would be a 'huge' task. Someone else would have to undertake it, as I am working on adding controller support to LWotC.

From the description it looks more of a controller fix mod than actual squad mod for regular WOTC. So I don't know where you guys think this will be for regular WOTC?

I mean I loved the squad system in LW2 - and kinda miss it. For now I am using the function in RPGO to make my "Squads" by assigning soldiers custom class icons, works well enough.
