Entirely possible yes.
The more polygons on screen, the more likely it will crash.

Appreciate this is an older mod and these comments haven't been active in some time, but I like this concept and wanted to give you a heads-up that on my machine shooting the bridal witch with your mod active causes a "too many indices for index buffer" crash 100% of the time. This doesn't happen with your smoothed regular witch mod and I don't experience any crashes elsewhere.

This mod only changes the model, not the textures. Use with a texture mod if you want.
