at some point i'd like to do a version where you can "create" virtual planets via a transponder (a la space stations) and remove natural virtual spawns, but i haven't gotten around to it and i'm not sure if i'll have the time to.

that being said, anyone's free to unpack the mod if ya'll wanna take a swing at it, just credit me and midnightchord for the original virtua planet mod.

I like this, but having it be a planet that you can land on via ship is kind of strange. Maybe have it so you can go to this planet via using a teleport or a machine instead? That way, it makes sense you are going to a VR world.

might be issues with anything that edits any file with polygonplatform and slopedpolygon in their names (slopedpolygon.matitem for example), but the only mod i know of that affects those is the Polygon Blocks Patch mentioned in this mod's desc. otherwise there should be no problems?

I'm building a massive modpack/collection and I have been testing it for about 2 weeks. I have revisited this mod and found that after adding other planet types to the game these worlds are not as common which is good, they are still a bit too common I would prefer it if they were a super rarity but I suppose it is fine as is. Would there be any compatibility issues you know of? Like ID issues with the items it adds or anything like that?

ahhh, idk if it's anything to do with the planet generation unfortunately. i did try to set the spawnrate to low but not absurdly so, but it's been a while since i tackled starbound modding so idk about making a patch that tweaks the spawnrate of virtua planets.

Well I like what you made, incredibly aesthetically pleasing but for me after testing them out they are just too common, they appear way too often and when one appears usually multiple do. I would prefer they were more of a rare appearence.

Also there aren't any blocks that really fit the aesthetic of them so it's hard to really want to build anything on them, like I said really cool looks but I don't know. Sorry I'm probably just being a jerk or too picky.

shouldn't conflict with anything as far as i know? as for vanilla colors, there's a link in the desc for the patch to just keep vanilla colors.

i haven't touched starbound in a while and i haven't really been interested in the game or even modding it as of lately, ya'll are free to make patches for this mod but obviously i don't know when i'll be getting back to SB modding and being rude to me about it is not going to help things.

yeah they seem to be fairly rare; of course mods that add more planets will also get in the way.

i'll see if i can tweak the spawnrate if it becomes too much of an issue. virtua planets are on firey and frozen stars as well, if you want to look there.

Went to 3 different Radioactive stars (Barren Planet) and i still haven't found a cyberspace planet.

would really love it when you add in a patch that gives everything that scanline affect of every objects that would normally happen when you are in cyberspace

i don't play trove, and i don't know how to make biomes from scratch yet. i'm on break from starbound modding, so i can't see that happening anytime soon <:I

What About that Robotic place from Trove, What about you make those places as planet biomes, and make it where the glitch can settle more often there.

underground has a "void" layer, i haven't figured out how to make the underground solid blocks yet <:I i'll likely update once i figure it out.

What's about the underground of those planets? That's the only things that make me hesitate using it.

it was only in one mission and it didn't broke the mission. and yeah it's certainly an vanilla ID that got used for shellguard block :/

aw crap. i don't use the shellguard mod, but i'll see if changing the material ID fixes it. could probably be a thing on chucklefish's end, since the polygon blocks are in vanilla.
