How can i play without the bots? if i have this on and the no bots mod, they just keep spawning in and disconnecting how can i remove them entirely? (but keep people being able to join)

sv_maxplayers 8
sv_visiblemaxplayers 8

and this mod that is in the workshop:

@raizen sorry i meant in game. 8 lobby slots works fine, but only a maximum of 4 people can join and play. can't do maxplayer 8 command - says can't do it in multiplayer or w.e

@Raz removing -insecure is going to disable sourcemod and will allow you to play on vac servers again.

Just to make sure. But in order to play again on vac servers, do we only need to remove the one we type in on launch option? Or do we need to remove the files that we put from the mod entirely?

Hmm i have the same issue like @Koi Has... Yesterday i have no problem bringing to my serv host 8 people, but today when i was goin to play with friends, i only could invite 3 guys (counting with me) 4... it's some kind of bug?

@Koi Can't say for certain what went wrong there, there hasn't any changes to anything other than plugins mainly updated, probably something on your end. Might check the configs

how come i cant play with more than 4 players anymore? whenever i try to host a lobby and get my friends to join someone gets kicked out because it says that the server is full for them. this used to work just fine before but now it doesnt. am i just missing something?

@frankenzombies might use competitive bots for that, I don't use this mod as generally a default without supporting mods. I paired this to competitive bots mainly to fix some of those bugs

I have a bug where with 8 survivors bleedout doesnt work and when I'm down the bots can't nav to me and pick me up

@Raizen I'll see what I can do, I'll give you feedback if I find anything.

@Ghost★Girl don't know what caused that bug though, might disable all mods and just let sourcemod load first to see if it works as intended, once you see all survivors spawn without problems then load those addons one by one and maybe you could identify which mods caused those bugs. This mod has been in here for quite a while and I haven't been experiencing too much bugs besides the talker though.

@Raizen That's a good reason, thanks. Also, I wanna say something about the mod and it's that, when you set a default survivor (in my case, Nick), when I played No Mercy, I started as Nick, but there was a Nick clone and Bill was just standing there, without name, not moving. Like the game just loaded his model and 1 idle animation, not even eye tracking. Any fix to that?

@Ghost★Girl simply because steam official servers for l4d2 doesn't allow sourcemod, this is why insecure is there, once put in you cannot join on vac secured servers. There's tons of dedicated servers for sourcemod though. You could experiment with it.

Why do I need to use -insecure? I'm curious. I know it's for Sourcemod to start, but why it wouldn't without -insecure?

@Certified Meme Inspector don't rush on installing this, this has been here for quite a while now, those who've installed this has made it work most of the time. Watch the video for instructions and follow it slowly.

Put the desired files into the game's directory and don't forget to put -insecure in the game's launch options on steam

Look for a line called l4d_static_minimum_survivor and change is value from 8 into 6

@Grok, The info editor plugin in this package tweaks a few different things with the population. I know that there could be a conflict with that, I'm not sure of an addon that is conflicting though.

@suomuhauli, Did you use "sv_consistency 0" In console before making the lobby?

@Zet_Monster, That's the point overall. Since you got rid of those files I said, then that would also remove the l4d2 survivors from showing. The info editor totally changes that feature. There's most likely a work around to fullfil this, but it would be a complicated set up.

it works but when one of my friends wants to join, their loading bar starts up then goes all the way to 0 and infinitely loads, never being able to join my game

It's not working. The sound is okay now, but the L4D2 Survivors are not appearing in L4D1 Campaigns now. It's a duplicate now.

@Zet_Monster, you could Look @ my other past comments on that.

@Raizen yep, I can confirm, it just doesnt work, and I even followed the video more slowly if I was missing anything and yet, doesnt work. Maybe is just the pc or idk.
