The Vortex Update

This update adds a new tactical ability for the Mage. While the Arcane Overload ultimate is active, you can now hold your ultimate key to deploy a Gravity Well for powerful crowd control.




⭐ New Mage Ability: Gravity Well
  • New Ability — Gravity Well: A vortex for total battlefield control.
    • Activation: Hold your ultimate key during Arcane Overload to create a vortex at your cursor's location.
    • Crowd Control: Pulls nearby enemies into its center, grouping them up for easy targeting.
    • Defense: The vortex also intercepts and traps hostile projectiles, pulling them off course.




⚙️ Full Configuration
  • Total Control: This feature is fully customizable.
  • Find all settings in the mod's config menu, under the "Magic" section.
  • You can adjust everything: radius, duration, pull strength, enemy HP limits, and more.
  • Set it up exactly how you want it. Enjoy.

The Aegis Update

This update introduces a brand new ultimate ability for the Ranger class. It was inspired by great feedback from user 𝚊, who pointed out that the original "Mysterious Stranger" ultimate didn't feel personal enough. He was right, and this prompted the creation of a more direct, player-focused alternative.




⭐ New Ranger Ultimate: Aegis Shield
  • New Ultimate — Aegis Shield: A personal, mobile fortress.
    • Defense: Summons a shield of orbiting projectiles that destroy enemy shots on contact.
    • Perks: While the shield is active, you consume no ammo, gain a +20% attack speed bonus, and your shots have perfect accuracy.
    • Mobility: Hold the ultimate key to teleport to your cursor (has a short cooldown).
    • Discharge: Tap the ultimate key again to launch all shield projectiles, which then home in on enemies and explode.




⚙️ Player Choice & Configuration
  • Choose Your Playstyle: You can now select your preferred Ranger ultimate in the mod's config menu, under the "Ranged" section.
  • The original "Mysterious Stranger" ultimate (the clone ability) is still available as an option.
  • Try out the new "Aegis Shield" for a more defensive and controlling playstyle.

The Dynamic Charge & Clarity Update

This update introduces an optional, dynamic charge system based on community feedback. The number of hits required to charge your ultimate can now scale with your weapon's attack speed.

A huge thank you to Fred for the suggestion that inspired this update's main feature!




⭐ New Feature: Dynamic Charge System
  • NEW - Optional Dynamic Charge Scaling: A new system, enabled by default, makes the ultimate charge requirement dependent on weapon attack speed.
    • Faster weapons (e.g., Minishark) will require more hits to charge.
    • Slower weapons (e.g., shotguns) will require fewer hits.
    • The old static-charge behavior can be restored by disabling "Scale Charge With Use Time" in the config.
  • NEW - Configuration Options: The "General" section of the mod config now contains settings to control this new system:
    • Scale Charge With Use Time: The master toggle for the entire dynamic scaling feature.
    • Base Use Time For Scaling: Sets the baseline attack speed for calculations.
    • Max Hit Count Multiplier: Prevents extremely fast weapons from requiring an unreasonable number of hits.
    • Close Range Charge Bonus: Reduces required hits for Melee and Summoner (whips) to reward close-quarters combat.
  • NEW - Spam Weapon Cooldown: An internal cooldown has been added for multi-hit weapons like the Vilethorn or Starlight to prevent them from generating charge on every damage segment. This can be configured.




⚙️ UI & Quality of Life
  • NEW - Weapon Charge Tooltips: Weapons capable of generating charge display a tooltip indicating the required number of hits. This is useful for seeing how the new dynamic system affects your arsenal. Can be toggled in the config.
  • NEW - Summoner Whip Tooltip: Whips display a special tooltip showing the calculated base damage of Ethereal Spirits spawned during the ultimate, based on the whip's stats.
  • NEW - Charge Complete Audio Cue: An audio cue plays when your ultimate is fully charged. This can be toggled in the config.
