Ressurecting an outdated chucklefish forums mod here, critter capture!

Using a bug net you can capture critters. Captured critters can be placed, similar to how bug jars can.


As this is an early release, beware - there is unfinished content and quite possibly a few bugs. If you do encounter something, please report it in the comments section so I can fix it.

NEW IN 0.7

Fixed a bug which caused rabbits to crash your game when killed. Yeeah....

The same bug could possibly be present in other monsters, there are too many to check manually. If you encounter issues with crashing/being teleported back to your ship when killing critters (without net) LET ME KNOW. I need to know the type of critter as well.





Current issues:
-Not all critters can be captured

Forever ago I thought about trying to make a new version of this. That plan fell through fast, lol. Glad someone did either way.

Is this still being updated? I have caught a lot of critters that so far just get killed when trying to catch... If you need the pics I can give you the screen shot of those I have. :) Guess still not all, but Imma working my way through them... :)

@FO-2189 These mods aren't really being updated anymore, so I wouldn't expect that to be changed. And the picture for the mod doesn't impact its functionality, so I don't really see what difference that makes. Personally I don't think the picture text looks that bad anyway.

About working on the new "version" of this mod... I got my attention drawn away from this while I've been working on a different mod. When I release what I'm working on now, I'll resume work on this, though atm I'm not sure when that will be.

@ Superepicgecko Well that's kind of a shame, but alright. Still gonna credit you and the original mod for inspiration though :) Also I appreciate your interest in what I'm working on, I'll try not to disappoint!
