2019 April - It's springtime! Major update to this very old map: new vanilla flowered trees, removal of all former infrastructure and rebuilt completely to newest standards, added oil for offshore platforms of Industries owners.

2x Rail
4x Sea
4x Air

Original text:

Travel to the amazing landscape of Guilin, China. Tons of resources, flat space surrounded by karst mountain formations and tiers of mountainside rice paddies.

Several "panoramic view" overlook sites to place prominent palaces, temples, or maybe even a skyscraper (because, why not).... they all have pre-made ramps to place a road winding up to gain access to the site.

Most of the karst formations and the rice paddies are outside of the playable squares, but there are enough within to provide some interesting scenes.

For first person mod, there are some WILD road trips for you, one of which takes you directly through the karst formations located in the city area, so it's not fogged out. There is also a beach causeway lined with palm trees (be sure to get Shroomblaze's Robusta Palm Tall, the beautiful palm used in this map).

I mean, I don't have an artistic talent so I always make things (terrains, etc.) unrealistic...

You should do it! Cities 1 is an awesome game for map making because with custom assets on the workshop, you can create some amazing looking maps that are totally unique. It really came a long way since the time this map was made (this is also only vanilla, no custom workshop stuff).

I sometimes have a desire to take up making a map (this happened many times in many games) but I never have an artistic talent. 😂

Well the other problem in this map is that my terraces are as wide and as tall as 3 houses :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

I got into making more realistic maps a little after this. In fact, today I make real locations, and put in a lot of effort like driving around on Google Street View to make sure it looks the same.

I removed other maps that were crazier than this one. I think the main point was that nothing like this existed in the workshop, and people appreciated it.

OK, in simple words, terraces and sharp hills hardly co-exist, because you can't build terraces on such steep slopes. Normally farmland in this terrain is located on plains among hills
