Walled City V1 - POI
Overview
One of the biggest builds I've ever worked on - close to 5000 objects! This is the Walled City (name pending), a colossal city surrounded on all sides by massive walls. There is only one way in and one way out, unless you know the secret entrances into the city's expansive sewage tunnel network running under the entire map.

Features:
  • Townsquare and walkable market
  • Military, police, and hospital installations
  • Old-Town + Ghost Hotel
  • Industrial Sector
  • Commercial sector with tightly packed warehouses
  • Enterable sewers (from commercial sector) with exits outside the walls
  • Sewers are flooded and have water pump stations every so often
  • Enterable walls with exit to outside
  • Plus a secret hidden inside the tunnels 🤫

The full composition takes a little over 3 minutes to fully load in so as to preserve server resources. The city has been play tested twice on full 16 player public servers with no significant frame drop or desync. Some elastic banding can happen at load but it should level out right after. Just don't spawn a million AI and you should be good.

What are POIs?
A POI is a scriptable composition that loads deformations, simple objects, and units into a specific location. Unlike regular comps, POIs only spawn where they were built and can support many more objects than standard comps. See Location section for where this POI spawns.

Requirements

This composition requires the setting:
zeusCompositionScriptLevel=2

Make sure this is active for the script to execute properly!
How to Use
  • Load Zeus and open the Compositions menu.
  • Place the "Walled City V1 - POI" on the map. Wait for loading to complete.
  • Fly (in Zeus camera) to the marked location to view or interact with the POI.

Holding down ALT while placing compositions will put the POI strictly how it was put where it was saved. Hope this helps
