Is there a setting to stop them from going up close to the enemy? I wanted to test an elite against a couple of rebels and he just went up to them to melee and died

The Half-life calamity mod final is basically impossible with this mod installed and I was even using Arc9 weapons, so many energy balls to the point I got cooked. Albeit I did have two other mods which didn't help and I did have a skill issue but yeah...so many respawns and I shot through like all of my Rifle and SMG ammo.
