This mod replaces my older F59PHI mod, which has been deprecated.

The EMD F59PHI is a diesel-electric locomotive used primarily for intercity and commuter rail service in the United States. The "I" denoting the isolated cab introduced.

Originally designed in consultation with Caltrans, both for a more streamlined look, as well as to meet California's emission standards at the time it entered service in 1994. EMD dropped the product from their lineup in 2001 as the F59PHI wasn't able to meet tier 1 EPA emissions regulations, nor was it able to pass the FRA's updated crashworthiness regulations.

NCDOT and Trinity Railway Express run unrebuilt units, originals from their orders in 1998 & 2001 respectively.

Amtrak California's remaining units are used on the Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin services. They were rebuilt in 2012 to meet EPA Tier 2 standards. Currently slated to be phased out in place of Siemens SC-44s.

Sound Transit's units were rebuilt in 2016 to meet EPA Tier 3 standards.

Metra units are second hand Amtrak units after Amtrak sold off their F59PHIs. As such, they have been left in the "Surfliner" livery but with Metra branding.

Amtrak leased 21 EMD F59PHIs from EMD in 1998 for the Surfliner and Cascades services. The Cascades had initially 5 locomotives, with a 6th added in 2001, transferred from the Surfliner and repainted in Cascades livery in 2003. These locomotives made up the prime movers for the Cascades service until 2017 when they started to be replaced by Siemens SC-44 units. Eventually all 6 locomotives were retired and sold to Metra as units 88-93 in October 2018.

Could you add the 289kN maximum tractive effort? It's very unrealistic for the locomotive to have such high automatically set tractive effort due to not being specified
