Midnight Drive Systems

描述
Midnight Drive Systems is a non-tiered thruster mod with unique balancing and custom flames using Mexpex's Thruster FX framework.

THRUSTER FX ARE NOW SEPARATE MODS!

This mod is incompatible with VSI Recolorable Thrusters when using any FX packs!

New blocks:

  • Hull thrusters, vanilla thrusters that look armored (fully sealed and airtight), but don't actually have any more health. Also comes in sloped variants, as well as a new "medium" variant of hydrogen thrusters.
  • Overthrusters, which give twice the force of a standard thruster, but use a disproportionate amount of fuel/power. These are intended to be limited by a server's ruleset.
  • Stealth thrusters, which have modified vanilla particle effects. This is for compatibility with the Stealth Drive mod, which does not hide Mexpex Thruster FX particles.
Alongside this is a rebalance of vanilla thrusters:

  • Large-variant hydrogen thrusters are no longer useless as they are in vanilla and most mods. They now give more thrust than 9 small-variant thrusters.
  • Ion thrusters have received both a direct thrust buff as well as a reduction to how much rare ingots thruster components cost, making them worth using even on warships.
  • Atmospheric thrusters had the least changes, but were still slightly buffed overall.
If you're interested in the exact stats of all of the thrusters, use BuildInfo. I highly recommend always having this mod - it's even available as a plugin!
Important Notes:

  • Thruster burn ranges are turned down significantly with this mod.
  • The particle FX packs were made specifically to work with Rendering Improved.
  • All blocks currently lack LODs. This is intentional as thrusters with LODs have a tendency to simply not render; until this bug is fixed or a workaround is found there will be no LODs. No performance impact has been observed.

REUPLOADS ARE NEVER PERMITTED.
Use Ash's Mod Adjuster mod if you wish to tweak this mod for your server. I will not allow any reuploads, unlisted or not.
This includes Mod.io, do not reupload this mod to Mod.io. It won't work anyways, as the Mexpex Thruster FX Framework isn't on there.

The mod was made specifically for the Sojourn Rim community, which is a group of SE players centered mainly around an ongoing large scale survival scenario. We play plenty of other games too, and if you'd like to check out the community you can join the discord here: https://discord.gg/kK7pAVUB2v

it used to burn a resonable amount of fuel but now it uses way more
Surzhyk 11 月 12 日 上午 9:04
yes but it burns through a large tank way to quickly

Are you using overthrusters?
Surzhyk 11 月 11 日 上午 11:08
the thrusters use a ♥♥♥♥ ton of fuel now idk if thats on purpose but it eats WAY to much

all ive done for my version of mod adjuster was double all the components needed to make overthruster but i havent been able to find how to increase fuel used

I'll reword it in a bit but the implication is that you can use ModAdjusterV2 and publish an adjustment mod. Just don't reupload the entire mod.

Local mods are not permitted in multiplayer sessions so the reuploads are not permitted means MDS cannot be edited or changed for multiplayer sessions? that kinda defeats the entire purpose of adding ModAdjusterV2 to the description doesnt it

There is a difference between reduced and all-out removed, and with build info I can see that they have been reduced to 0
I feel like there should be something in the configs about this, I love the new thrusters but the kill zones being reduced is... something I don't want.
