EarthBound: Ness

描述
THIS IS A PORT OF THE DON'T STARVE TOGETHER MOD BY YOURS TRULY.
Be sure to give it a look!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Chosen Boy

Ness is the main protagonist of EarthBound, although he's nothing more than the typical Eaglelandian kid living in the quiet suburbs of Onett. Or so he thought! A meteor crashing into his hometown would shake up the boy's life forever, sending him on a journey to harness the powers of Earth and defeat the evils of Giygas once and for all. Can he do the same once again, and defeat the evils of the Constant?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Perk Overview
Skilled with the baseball bat on and off the field, Ness knows how to find weak points in enemies. He can on occasion land a Smash Hit, dealing double his weapon's damage output in a single swing. In addition, Ness has a chance of gaining extra drops from working resources, such as mining rocks or chopping trees. This ability also extends to fighting mobs, who also have a chance of dropping extra loot when killed by Ness, although it doesn't apply to bosses... right? Being psychic, he makes use of the potent PSI abilities PK Flash and Offense Up to help him on his journey.

Don't let his title of Chosen Boy deceive you though: he is still a child, after all, and one that is quite prone to homesickness (so much for that high stakes journey). The lower Ness' sanity drops, the more homesick Ness becomes, and the less effective his other perks become along with his productivity. He will land Smash Hits and receive extra drops less often. He will deal less damage, work slower, and occasionally stop what he's doing to mope over his situation. And the more homesick he becomes, the more of a sanity drain he experiences. Eating large meals or his favorite food, Trunk Steak (Surf 'n' Turf / Steamed Ham Sandwich in Shipwrecked / Hamlet Respectively), or maybe even a bit of Offense Up can temporarily mitigate his feelings, although your safest bet is to just maintain a high sanity!

Ness enters the Constant with PK Flash, Offense Up; and his trusty backpack and baseball cap.

(ps I made foliage renewable in Hamlet via his Resourceful perk, thank me later)

Items
Baseball Cap
He always wears it; some believe the cap is actually a part of Ness

  • Durability of 12 days
  • Delays overheating during Summer
  • Provides 4.4 sanity per minute while worn
  • Ness may not craft the baseball cap, although there are other means for him to earn it
Baseball Bat
Ness' class weapon

  • Durability of 80 uses
  • 24 damage output
  • Knocks certain enemies away on hit
  • Significantly higher chance of landing Smash Hits for Ness
  • Smash Hits deal quadrupled damage instead of doubled
  • Crafted with 4 logs, 1 rope (requires science machine)
PK Flash
Flash of the past, flash of the future

  • Costs 30 sanity per use
  • Slightly damages all mobs within range of the target, causing them to panic
  • May be upgraded to PK Flash Omega, a more potent variant that deals significantly more damage and can potentially even kill weaker bosses
  • Requires 1 purple gem, Ness' maximum Sanity (shadow manipulator) to upgrade
Offense Up
You can never have enough damage output

  • Costs 50 sanity per use
  • Provides a 25% damage increase to the target for 4 minutes
  • Decreases the effects of homesickness slightly for Ness when used on him
  • Increases the chances of landing a Smash Hit slightly for Ness when used on him
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known Bugs
  • MacTusk's knocked back animation is slightly janky. It's taken directly from Pigs. Apologies.
  • Mobs added by other mods will not get knocked back by the baseball bat. If you'd like them to, or you feel there's a vanilla mob that should but doesn't at the moment, let us know and it will be considered.
Please report any issues you run into. Be as descriptive as possible, it is extremely helpful in resolving the issue and getting things working again! Constructive feedback appreciated.

Okay should be fixed now. Thank you for your assistance and patience.

It's a problem if you have both Ness and Ninten enabled. Addressing it now. Strange, because my personal builds works fine with both of them enabled...
