Sort My Inventory!

looked at the code and theres literally nothing here that looks like it could cause save corruption etc. it sorts the inventory. thats it. the sort function is literally native too, its not doing any weird custom ♥♥♥♥ for that.

not entirely sure why people are stating its corrupting saves, i have had this mod since practically day 1 and it works fine on my end included modded items.
even uninstalled the mod and reinstalled and have no issues.
fiddled with the settings extensively and have had no issues with the sort options the mod offers.
restarted the game with different settings in the mod
zero issues

it just sounds like you guys are running something else that modifies your inventory sorting which is considered a conflicting mod
maybe watch what you are downloading

make your backups manually

ok so I don't know why people are having so much trouble with this, as it works perfectly fine on my end??
I've seen people mention that it corrupts saves when new Hats or Badges are added via other mods, but I've got mods that add both and it's perfectly fine for me, so I am completely baffled as to what the issue is, because I have a feeling the original guesses as to what caused it are incorrect

To be honest when you have to jump through all sorts of hoops to even make a "quality of life" mod kind of function as advertised, only for to still break and ruin the game more than it helps. Is it even worth fiddling with it at this point?

So wait, what's the exact cause of this mod "breaking saves"? I've seen from the first page that it seems to be when other mods give you equipment, but is that because the mod doesn't know how to handle the unknown data and craps itself/the game? When I've had this mod, it made switching hats and keeping hat flairs very, very difficult and permanently messed up my order of hats. It didn't particularly "break" or "corrupt" my save and only really affected my hats, not my dyes, badges, or umbrella, so I'm wondering what everyone else is/had to go through really— It also persisted even after uninstallation so what I did to circumvent that (I hope) is by reinstalling it and setting everything by "Type" and then turning the misc. Settings to "Off" then disabling it and removing it, so I might just be missing some mad context

I wanted to find an inventory sorter, found out I already had one, then got hit with the bombshell that my save file is corrupt if i have it. Are my only options to either just keep the mod and let it break on its own or make a new save file or is there anything else I can do?

I feel sorry for the 23,154 current subscribers of this that probably corrupted their save file because of this broken mod. My only hope is that the majority of subscribers were people who uninstalled A Hat in Time a long time ago when this mod still worked and haven't played the game since then.

This mod brakes saves if other mods that adds stuff to your inventory are in the game. Can you please fix that?
