ONE CLICK COLLECTION

Introduction

I'm working on several maps, and most of them have one thing in common: they drop framerates before I even start playing the game. This map is a response to that; I wanted a map that looked good without melting my potato PC. It's a simpler map than the two I've done or the others I have coming, with minimal detailing and infrastructure, but I tried to keep it up to basic standards.

Spud Falls is a calm river valley between gentle hills. It's not inspired by anywhere in particular, I just kind of winged it this time, but it resembles a geographically ambiguous temperate grassland.

I'll likely use this map in a city build on my channel, but I have another series started there already I encourage you to check out regardless ;)

Features

* Several tiles of perfectly flat building area and some gentle hills.

* Entirely custom interchanges with mild grades.

* Low poly trees all by pdelmo. Fantastic trees for GPUs.

* Gentle waterfront slopes and minimal river grade.

* 4 highway connections, 2 maritime connections (down the main river), 4 plane connections.

Recommendations

* If you're not using No Radioactive Deserts, I recommend using Hide It to hide Shore Areas. My shore detailing conflicts with the default shore texture and looks bad.

* I'm using Daylight Classic and the Springwood LUT. Other LUTs may give you a vibe you like better, but Springwood is a good neutral I think.

* Tree LOD Fix and Random Tree Rotation are strongly recommended.

* If the extra street lights on the Seongsan bridge bother you, you can use Network Skins to remove the extra lights, or Hide It to remove the highway lights altogether. Be aware that Network Skins has a moderate performance impact.

* The Commodore Barry Bridge is asking for power for some reason. If you're using 25 tiles you shouldn't see the notification, and if you're using 81 tiles you should be able to power it or replace it. It looked too good not to use.

I am really enjoying this map, even in 2022. This has an American East Coast feel to it, and I love the fact I can build my Philadelphia-inspired city on a great map!

Yay, thank you, just subscribed!

@Tiar/A - you definitely can. Skip the Adaptive Visibility subscription, and also "Mountain Grass Terrain Conforming", "S1 / S2 Surface Rock", and "River Rocks." Those are the assets that use it, and the map should function fine without them, it will just be a bit less detailed.

Can I use this without Adaptive Prop Distance? There's no way my laptop will be able to handle that.

Hi Greyflame, and everyone who reads this. Your map was reviewed by BonBonB in his What Map video on youtube.
This is a GREAT map ... very playable -- if you (who reads this) want to build a big good city on a pretty map that has good road, and rail connections. Very lovely trees and other detailing too.

Have a look at the video - when you are done: you will play this map! (BonBonB gives it his .....) :-) Enjoy the video.

Thank you everyone!

@Oldhip - I've added a one click collection to all my maps now, and I'll try to do that for my future maps as well.
