Better Follower Improvements

Hi, simply remove these messages and put them in ingame book per exemple if you think they are very important...so no more bug ! I think your messages bug my game andbring a cliping black screen when i load a game...i am testing atm another game with install after the intro of the game when i am in whiterun.

THIS MOD IS NO LONGER REQUIRED. @Smallturns Sorry, I've not been developing H4F for a while. Best to install H4F after the opening part of the game to avoid those messages when starting the game. If I start modding again, I will look into this. Messages only appear for the first time or after upgrade.

Can you or if not you Spudgunner then some other commenter on here help me to understand the mods description because I have the horse for followers one from the same guy spudgunner it looks like installed but at the very beginning of the game where your hands are bound it come up with all of these messages basically saying that their are better mod than the one I currently have subscribe to atless that's what I think it said (not sure if i'am the only one it happens too) but that's what comes up in-game?

OKAY SO, I'VE UNSUBSCRIBED FROM THIS MOD, I'VE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE GAME. AND YET, I KEEP GETTING THE BLOODY MESSAGES AT THE START OF THE GAME WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ IS GOING ON. I'm sorry its just so bloody annoying to get those messages I want to get rid of them.

@TheWhiteKnight Go to the "Horses for Followers" page at Nexus. Ignore the main file and download the hotfix plugin. Then copy it over the plugin from the workshop in the Skyrim/Data folder.

@Spudgunner, I haven't played this game for a couple of years. I subscribed to Better Followers and Horses for Followers back then. I really liked the Better Followers MOD, it stopped them from being right up your ass and blocking you in all doorways, not to the mention the dozens of others annoying things they do.

Since I started playing again I followed your on-screen instructions explicitly. However, I'm finding that the followers have reverted to their annoying vanilla actions. Could you advice why this may be?

@RedMage This is an empty plugin - it does nothing. I moved everything into Horses for Followers for simplicity. I made it empty to help facilitate the cross-over to a single mod for existing users.

Remove this plugin from your data folder, then subscribe to "Horses for Followers" (link on the right). Then head over to Nexus and get the hotfix to replace the plugin.

When you play, just go to a stable and buy your own horse (if you haven't got one yet), then buy the followers horse. You should see "I need a horse for my companion." Companion = followers, hirelings and, if you have done the quests, The Companion Guild members. There are other type of special followers but they aren't included yet.

because of some reason i cant buy horses for my follower/s.

@Old gamer Sorry you had to go back in your game. Was that save from before you installed the mod? Well thats one kind of a clean save method.

When you say freeze, was that the whole game or an animation stopped? If it was a stuck animation you could have opened the console , click the frozen NPC and type disable . turn console off and the NPC disappears. Immediately turn console on again and type enable . Don't lose the ID if ever you do this. Then the animation state fixes itself. Another way is to go through a load door and return sometimes works.

Its recommended to install over a clean save because the new versions of Horse For Followers is structured differently. If you click this link: Horses For Followers or click the link on the right under Required Items . Go down to the comments section and find one of mine dated 16 Oct. There I show how to install over partially cleaned save.
