Request or maybe some seperate mod..
I always have my pets on neutral and when I logoff and back on they might get a threat and take off to attack, etc. My idea was a "pet leash" or chain that hold them in a radius as you would a dog or cat. Still on neutral and can defend just not gone flying/running 100 feet and then it's a search mission everytime you login. Lol. I think it would fit your brand :)

I had a similar idea... more of an electric fence. craft a control box (like a key pad) and then lay a thin, hideable, wire around the perimeter you want & using Pet Manager or control box, add tamed pets to a containment list that they cannot leave that area. Should also allow for multiple "pens" by assigning a "frequency" to a pen & the same "frequency" to the contained pet.
Or if simpler, (I know zip about about modding) just set a radius that the pet has to stay within.

set a post down and connected dino cant go outside of XX distance from it....

Tame a Trike, Saddle it and hope on. Tell all your dinos to follow the trike. Put the trike on passive and the rest on neautral. they will stay at the trike and protect it.
