should've mentioned that

In that case since there are no other checks besides a basic distance check its likely your playermodel.
The bubble position is based on your playermodel eye position, so if you are using a custom or oddly-rigged model that could be causing the issue

well, when I have the filter on and say something in the banned words list it doesn't filter it, so, it seemingly not applying to me (I only really play in singleplayer so maybe it's something about that?)

Add a simple word to the list, enable censor debug mode, then type a basic sentence in chat that includes that word. After that copy the console output and paste it here so I can take a look

tried that, opened the consle, nothing showed up in consle, so uhhhhh, idk, prob gonna go try with default player model and see if that works

Well the playermodel shouldn't have anything to do with the censor system so something definitely not right. It looks like either the PlayerSay hook isn't working properly or something in my HandleChatMessage function isn't passing your messages through correctly

But then do you actually see your own messages in the chat? That would help narrow down whether the message is getting blocked entirely or just not processed correctly

I do see it in chat, so, idk

quick update, tried with default playermodel, no chat bubble or consle stuff.

Well, in that case if its working with Lambda bots but not for you, I’d recommend trying to disable all other addons and test it that way. If that doesn’t help maybe try reinstalling the addon entirely. I’m not sure what else could be causing an issue like that
