but i take no responsibility for any "damages" to your system or whatever may happen with unknown modifications you make to this mod.
you need to unpack the workshop mod .gma file so you can access the unpacked files
i never did stuff like this to gmod, but a quick google showed me that you can literally drag and drop the .gma file onto gmad.exe which is located in the bin folder where gmod is installed
after that in lua/menu/gwater2_params.lua at line 205 is where the particle limit will be at.
adjust it to your desired value and save.
afterwards i just installed gwater2 in the garrysmod/addon folder as an unpacked addon.
i didnt wanna push it to insane numbers, but i tried 2,000,000 particles with a 7900xtx and it was pulling 13gb of vram, chugging along at some 10-20ish fps. depending the map, on linux mint :P
ive never had this much fun experimenting with physics stuff in gmod. this water stuff is seriously a blast to play with. i had to increase the limit to test :P
the floods you can do with this mod is insane. all in real time. awesome mod.
good luck and have fun to whomever tries to raise the particle limits
