Linking a TARDIS Rewrite with a Sonic Screwdriver on servers.
How come you can't link a TARDIS Rewrite with a Sonic Screwdriver on a server you are not the owner of?

I think the Tardis interior and the doors are world entities, so that wont work.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

I spawned a TARDIS I tried to link it and it said i needed to have spawned it to link it.

Prop Protection prevents other players from messing/interacting with the things you spawn.

Yeah, but I spawned a 'TARDIS Rewrite' and it didn't let me link it with the 'Sonic Screwdriver'. That is the issue and the 'Topic' at hand.

Well in that situation, the "world" so to speak, is the owner of the TARDIS you spawned in.

That what I do not understand, if you are the admin of the server, you can link your screwdriver to your TARDIS but if your not the admin you can't; It must be something in the lua files of the TARDIS.

okay but is there a way to turn off this prop protection rule or set another player as an admin so that it allows them to link?

Sorry there was a bug around this I didn't realise for the longest time which is now fixed. Sonic now correctly respects prop protection rules when linking to the tardis (rewrite) like it did with legacy

i know this is like a year later but how do i link sonic screwdriver to tardis?

Hold your walk key (usually ALT) and left click at the same time while looking at the TARDIS. You may need to point it at the side of it and not the doors
