♥♥♥♥ yes. This is why you design and push out standard rifles for an entire section of the military and often try to use the same caliber rounds on more than just one platform. Imagine having to shift 30 tonnes of rounds with the loss of entire sections if not completed on time. Hard? Sure but imagine having to deal with 1 ton of 5.56, 350.000 rounds of 50mm HE, 3200 rounds of 9mm etc etc.
"I work in the military" quickly turns into:
"I do Excel all day!... and i want to die!"
Perfect for any army grunt.
"When will that be?"
'Soon enough.'
"That's not soon enough!"

Aka, i can load 80-something and 60-something mortar shells from CE in, and its not reloading with them, but using a "Pullution cleanup shell" from a mod that adds those lets me reload the mortar with the cleanup shell, which is a non-CE patched default vanilla shell type.
(So I found if you go into mod options while in your world and turn on the Ammo option in CE then que up some ammo for your tank it'll stay there along with any ammo choices you have researched so far. You can then turn off the Ammo option in CE again.
Note as of writing this I have not logged out and back in so I don't know if it lasts through a reload however it's easy enough that I don't think it'll matter to much either way.)
