Abyss can delete the shimmer if it is moved by any other mods.
As someone else mentioned in the mods comments. If a mod changes the position of the shimmer aka more towards the edge, the Abyss will delete it.

They mentioned Spooky and I can confirm this does happen after testing.

I am not sure if it is possible, but if the shimmer could be forced to generate on the opposite side of the world to the Abyss that would prevent this.

It would also just sorta make sense as the Shimmer is all bright. While the Abyss is dark.

I thought it was best to post this on both Homeward Journey and Spooky just in case.

tbh pretty sure this was also a problem with aequus, thats why theres a patch for homeward/aequus, so pretty sure after a while someone might post a patch for homeward and spooky
