Gotcha that's understandable. Especially since I use RADIOUS I can't imagine trying to harmonize all the changes to settlements that will make. I'll just use some head-canon reasons why he can't leave Lothern in this playthrough lol thank you!
I've actually tried to spawn him in for a while and couldn't get him. I could spawn other generals but not him. I was using "legend hbe_finubar_seafarer" as the command in the console box. Is that correct?
I also tried just "hbe_finubar_seafarer" and that wouldn't work either. LMK if I am not entering the correct one, I tried to follow the guides exactly as they are read.
For lords/commanders you might also try "spawn + KEY" while a owned settlement is selected."
Using "spawn hbe_finubar" worked! Thank you very much for all the advice and enriching my playthrough!
Finubar & fleet
Since we know that High Elves (or atleas Aislinn) will get some sort of fleet mechanic and naval units we have to think about adapting it for Finubar.
There are some different possibilities we have to keep in mind to optimise immersion and gameplay for every player.
Right now Finubar works independet (no DLC requirement) but as soon as buildings and units from the DLC were used, you have to own that DLC to be able to see/unlock its content -> Finubar might become a "semi DLC-required" character.
There is also the possibility to just advance his fleet with the new stuff but keep the base to make it more non-DLC owner friendly.
New Content
We are currently testing two new characters, one ll and one lh, for the Order of Loremasters/Teclis faction.
They will come with both a custom skill tree and ancillaries. I will try to show you some screenshots later this month to show you who will be added.
Bug fixes
As there have been numerous reports of characters not appearing after completing a mission, we have tried/are trying to investigate this as much as possible, and while Finubar and Selafyn definitely have issues with appearing, others seem to occasionally have issues with other mods.
The good news is that Finubar and Selafyn's spawn rate will be back to 100% with the next scheduled mod update.
For the others, further feedback with as many details as possible is required.
In addition to the spawn bug, several missing texts and grammatical errors have been fixed again.
We have decided NOT to release the update before 4th December, as it would not make sense to do so.
After the game update, the mod will need to be updated/revised anyway, especially Finubar's fleet buildings and units.
Depending on what we get with the Tides DLC, our mod could be provisionally completed by the end of this year or early next year – one character we would like to implement already is Ishaya Vess (hopefully spelled correctly^^)
