I have the same issue I'm looking at the wiki page for this mod on pzwiki.net and looks like i possibly need to read this "he Mary Journal: The Farming Issue" before i can trim it. Once i find it, i'll let you know.

I Have the same problem with the Tobacco, In the Agriculture part to grow Tobacco, the harvest is: "Fresh Stalk of Tobacco" to be able to assemble tobacco "Dry Tobacco Leaves" is required but there is no way to dry the tobacco to be able to use it, I was looking in the manufacturing assistant but the item: "Fresh Stalk of Tobacco" has no use or relation to anything else. How can I dry tobacco so that it goes from "fresh" to "dry"? I readed all the necessary manuals and books

You need to place it on the ground or just drop it out of your inventory. It does take quite a bit of time for tobacco leaves to dry, just FYI
