You can try to delete %localappdata%\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\ ForestBrush.xml
You will have to make your brushes again though.

I have the same problem, but I don't have the ForestBrush.xml

You can try to delete %localappdata%\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\ ForestBrush.xml
You will have to make your brushes again though.

Could you be more specific with the file's location?

if youre on windows thats as specific as you can get, press Windows Key + R, type %localappdata%, hit enter, open Colossal Order, then Cities_Skylines, and look for a file called ForestBrush.xml, then delete it and restart the game

I get the same error the instant I enable the mod in the content manager.
Inside SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines there is no Forestbrush.xml though the other mods' xml files are there.

I still get this error every time I start the game, maybe someone can paste an unchanged ForestBrush.xml so that I can add it (and then remove it)

When you have a correct version of this file (with your personal brush(es)), it might be useful to copy and save this file to another location. In case the original gets corrupted again. You could also rename it, and place it back in the original location, so you don't forget the location of the backup file.

I cannot find that file either. Do I have to have the mod "installed" to see that file?

I also have this error so Í deleted the ForestBrush.xml. After that sometimes the same error, sometimes not, but the Brush always works fine (also defined Brushes).
Sometimes I have this error after I installed a new mod. Its no difference for me to delete the xml or not. Every time the Brush works.

Hm I'm thinking ... the last error some times ago and I also installed new assets and mods - without the error.
