i dont think there was any servers to play it on, atleast officially, also its not dead i think its just in a state where they want to continue it or do something with it but cant because lack of ideas and or personal problems

I always played it as a "friends only" sort of experience
It's very much still playable, but for right now, only on the Dev Branch.
