AI over-development leading to constant coalitions?
I have been doing a very fun Marrhold campaign, but I noticed that the AI has really focused on developing their provinces moreso than base game AI, to the point that every peace deal is very AE-heavy when each province is at least 10-20 development, if not more. I am always between coalitions when I am simply trying to follow my mission tree. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Yes and no.

Yes, the AI devs a lot more.

No, i dont get many coalitions.

But personally i switched to the Anbennar ideas mod, that one gives you more AE reduction as well as even more development.

Even without that mod, you just need to minmax your AE then. Switch to Corintian religion as soon as it pops, get espionage and religious ideas if you play with vanilla ideas and you get a whooping -30% AE and 25% reduction on top of that.
