But do we have to use the plugin together with the hifghlander, or only the Plugin ?

If you do not have Alien Hunters DLC, then use just the Highlander.
If you have Alien Hunters DLC, use both Highlander and Alien Hunters Highlander plugin.

I have Alien hunters and this mod did stop the stuttering issue that was making the game not fun

necropost but I installed the Alien Hunters plugin and now my game crashes on start up

apologies for asking but what do you mean by init files and where do I find them?

They meant "ini" files, not "init" files. They are talking about doing Regenerating User Config:

I think they mean that DLC_2 error form the original poster I'm also having this issue as of 5/23/2023 I'll be trying that alien hunter thing above and return if it works.

EDIT: well I don't know what it did exactly but the error is gone for me still having issues with visible heads and stuff :/ man why can't game devs leave well enough alone this update is annoying.

What update are you talking about? The Alien Hunters Highlander is required if you're using Highlander and you have Alien Hunters DLC - this is very clearly explained in Highlander's description. It's been this way for years.
